Have had this light for about a year now. Very bright, one light easily covers one page which is normally all I use, but it gives you all the light you need. It stores easily, bends to where you want it, and is VERY EASY on batteries. It's great for seeing set lists and music on a dark stage. Highly recommended.
I purchased the Mighty Bright Xtraflex Duet light to use on my keyboard music stand and have been using it for several months, about once a week. The brightness is adequate, but barely. Also, the switches are somewhat loose and one of the lights tends to flicker. The design concept seems good - I like aiming the two separate heads where I need them - but the construction/execution seems subpar. I will choose a different light for my next purchase.
The batteries last for over 50 hours of bright light! This costs a bit more than other stand lights, but you quickly make up the money in batteries, because you rarely change them. The light is brilliant where it is directed, and invisible to the audience. The ONLY light for musical theatre because it doesn't interfere with stage lighting. Easily light 2 to 3 pages of music at a time, or light your axe or effects box with one stalk while lighting 1 to 2 pages of music. The stalks are flexible enough that you can roll the entire thing up and put it in your pocket. Best of all, the opaque body of the light doesn't let the light shine in your eyes, or anyone else's eyes. The light only goes where you want it.
I wanted a sheet music light for my kid. But this is unfortunately a cheaply made plastic piece of junk. The LED is bright but that's the only good point. After a few days the goosenecks started getting weak. The thin plastic body feels like junk. You can get other LED book lights for less money.
The Mighty Bright XTRAFLEX Duet LED Music Light is the light that finally ended my search for a reliable music stand light. I lead a Praise Team that sets up for church in the front of a dark movie theatre every Sunday. We need good music stand lighting because lamps or flood lights wash out the image on the big screen. I tried several book lights, but I was constantly replacing batteries and bulbs, which turned out to be very expensive. Then our Keyboard player found the Mighty Bright. I was so impressed, I ordered one for myself and one for our bass player. Now everyone wants one. The lights are extremely flexible and durable, and the three AAA batteries that they require last an amazingly long time. We've been using them for months and haven't changed batteries yet.
