Comments about Mighty Mite MM2925 Bird's Eye Stratocaster Replacement Neck with Maple Fingerboard and Jumbo Frets:

Beautiful Birds Eye Maple neck. Requires a small amount of prep work and you're ready to play. This is my 2nd Mighty Mite neck, and unlike a previous review, there is no way either neck I received needed a fretjob or polish - jumbo frets were shiny and rounded just like they should be. Yes, the neck needs holes drilled for tuners and for mounting to the body, but this is to be expected - Mfg has no way of knowing your guitar's set up.
Here's what I did to get a great set up:
      1. Filed down the fret edges with fine grit (600) sandpaper
      2. Applied 3-4 coats of Tung Oil to entire neck. (comes with an "oil" finish, but for me it was nowhere near enough and this is the only reason I gave the neck a 4 instead of a 5).
Apply one coat at a time, and keep it very fine (polish it in with a soft cloth) - brings out the grain of the wood nicely. Allow each coat to dry thoroughly in between applications.
      3. Drill small holes for mounting tuners (I installed Fender Locking tuners).
      4. Drill mounting holes in neck base.
      5. Attach to body with screws provided - drop some wax on screws before mounting, and be sure to drill your pilot holes a little smaller than screw width.
After some adjustments to Action and intonation, the neck played great - truss rod needed no adjustmnt whatsover and intonation was nearly spot on (of course I'd preadjusted to a previous neck)
I also installed a Fender LSR Rolling nut, but not neceaary as neck comes with an installed nut. I just like the rolling nuts for keeping Strats in tune.

      PERFECTO

Comments about Mighty Mite MM2925 Bird's Eye Stratocaster Replacement Neck with Maple Fingerboard and Jumbo Frets:

The strat sounds more spankier than before while intonation did not need recalibration. Guitar stays in tune for long time.
Great finish, smooth jumbo frets slides like butter and nice birds eye maple swirls. Slapped it on an American Lonestar strat sienna burst and it was rocking in 15 minutes. actually looked and played better than the stock rosewood neck.
Great construction but nit picking, I wished it had a fatter neck towards the end where it joins the body.
      Reasonably priced

The best Strat upgrade I ever did.

Comments about Mighty Mite MM2925 Bird's Eye Stratocaster Replacement Neck with Maple Fingerboard and Jumbo Frets:

My goal was to have a maple necked surf green strat with Seymour Duncan Hot, Cool and Vintage rails pick guard. This is the maple neck part of that goal. This neck exceeded my beauty expectaions. I began with a Squire Vintage Modified Surf Green strat and took that and this neck to my local Guitar Center garage in Tacoma for Ron to attach the neck. While Ron did his most excellent work, I built the SD Rails pick guard. Here is a pic of the guitar after Ron's work with the MM2925 neck:

I would say that came out pretty good! Then here is a picture of the guitar after I swapped out the pick guards:

The guitar plays and sounds as good as any American Standard I own. There are many like it but this one is mine.

See the green in the dots and how the body reflects that. More beautiful in real life, the entire neck looks that way, glimmering green dots...
10mm or 3/8" tuning holes for the modern standard tuning machine of your choice. Real mother of pearl and abolone dot inlays that just glimmer, if they're not real, they look real, looking far better than clay dots. Stainless steel frets that after a crown, level and polish look outstanding.
Most people don't know this product is about 90% finished. The final holes for tuning machines are missing, it is missing pilot holes for the tail to body, frets REQUIRE a crown, level, polish and edge smoothing. The product is supposed to come this way. Do not think you can just buy this neck, bolt it to your strat and have a new smoking axe, a lot of work is involved with this change to your guitar. All that said, this is an outstanding neck providing you add the necessary elbow greese and skill or luthier services required to finally get it attached to your guitar.
Corian nut, birds eye maple neck with oil finish, birds eye maple finger board with mother of pearl and abolone inlays for a hundred bucks! Adding a neck of this quality as a requirement to any strat would easily add a 1000 dollars to the retail cost of that strat. Based on that, this is a smoking deal.
