Was not a true believer that cable quality made that much difference. I am now. Clear sharp sound and better tone. Makes a difference in my wanting to sing as opposed to feeling like I have to sing in the band mix.

This cable won't drastically improve the sound quality of your gear like some may think/say. What it will do is ensure you won't have to purchase another cable because your cheap one decided to fail. This cable brings peace of mind and to me that makes it worth it.
It's a cable. Top of the line Neutrik connectors. Strain reliefs on both ends. All black (except the writing on the cable and female end clip) ) so it looks good on-stage.
Cable is thinner than most XLR cables I've dealt with. Which makes it more flexible and keeps its capacitance down.
Past Mogami cable you're just paying for too much. That's the bottom line. Will this cable sound better than a cheaper one? Not so much. It has twisted pair construction so it won't reject radio interference as well as a quad cable. However it will keep the high end of the frequency range better than a quad cable. So if your studio doesn't have interference problems (turning cell phones off helps) then get this cable.
The truth is mic cable is mic cable. What you're paying a premium for is constructio quality, material quality and a no-hassle lifetime warranty. Mogami has all of these covered.
Overpriced? Probably. But I appreciate that Mogami delivers on quality and don't have fluff marketing like "makes your bass guitar sound thicker". Ironically I treat this cable like a baby even though it is designed to hold up better than my cheaper cables.

I needed a spare cable. I carry two, one for my vocal and one for guitar mic. I have had them for 25 years with no problems but read reviews stating how you can hear the difference with the Mogami. I have good ears and hear NO difference. I could almost buy another SM-57 for what this 30 ft. cable costs.

Just purchased 2 30 ft mogami golds. I have had some decent mics for a while now and I thought next logical step is some professional grade xlr. I originally ordered Monster P500 - which were on backorder. Musicians Friend sorted out my problem and shipped me these mogami cables. I immediately went to my home studio and did a side by side test comparison with the previous mic cable (yorkville - canadian) and my new mogamis. Wow! Same level, same mic, same volume settings, same eq settings and there was some life in these tracks. An immediate audible difference. I encourage you to spend the money on good quality cables. It's worth the investment! Frequency in the mids was distinct, tail endings of notes sung were there and a standard talk voice was full sounding.

Started using Mogami after seeing so many studios wired exclusively with them. I'm a gigging musician - running 30 footers to 4 mics and 50 footers out to speakers. The stage cable have stood up to plenty of trampling and still give off a crisp, hum-less sound - as if I bought 'em yesterday. The stage cables are noticeably thicker than the studio version.

I recently purchased the Shure sm57 microphone from this site, along with a Tascam US122 Interface, and a 25 foot Mogami microphone cable, and it sounds fantastic! I strongly recommend all three products. If you want your vocals to sound natural and true to your voice in high quality while recording on PC, like me, go with these 3 products.
