OVERVIEW

A lightweight bass case delivering heavyweight protection.

The Mono M80 bass case is among the lightest, thinnest, strongest, most versatile carrying solutions for the professional bassist. It's a hybrid case featuring an ultra light laminated foam shell with strategically placed ABS panels, providing an unmatched level of protection for your most prized investments. Smart features like the Clip/Tuck straps make for easy airport travel, while the streamlined profile helps you slip through the crowds. It fits standard bass guitars from Fender, Ibanez, Warwick, Tobias, and Yamaha to name a few.

Inside the Mono case, the patented neckbrace design suspends the bass guitar's headstock, protecting it from impacts that could otherwise snap the neck. An oversized velcro strap quickly secures the neck against a specialized high-density foam block, which also keeps the tuning pegs away from the sides of the case during transport. On the bottom of the case the bass's strap pin is protected by a bumper system of high-density foam, industrial rubber and ABS "feet," diverting impact up and around the body of the electric bass on vertical drops.

Constructed with high-tech materials and triple reinforced stitching this bass case is extremely durable. The M80 bass guitar case features a waterproof outer shell, steel riveted handle and shoulder straps, industrial rubber "sole" and piping, and oversized ergonomic zippers. Wear it well.

Comments about MONO M80 Electric Bass Case:

I've had my M80 bass bag since September 2012. It has been the best bag I have ever owned. It is very light, and really protects your instrument exceptionally well. I had my bass fall a few feet off a drum riser. I freaked out! But when I removed my trusty G&L L2500 from the gigbag, not only was it unharmed, it was still in tune! So the reason I want to update my original review on this same site is, I want to tell everyone about how good the company that makes the bag is. I had some sticthing come lose inside the bag that attaches the protective liner inside the case, for the bridge. Some how my bass snagged the stictching and started to tear it off. Also, inside the main pocket for accessories, some fabric had begun to shread and the inner flap looked like it might eventually rip way. Neither of these defects effected the primary function of protecting the instrument. I have used the bag extensively, and crammed lots of cables, stomp boxes books, etc in the compartment, many many times. I took pictures of the bag and emailed them to Mono's coustomer service link. Jen,in coustomer service, responded to me right away, and in a few days, they sent me a brand spanking new bag to replace my old one... no charge. They paid for all the shipping including the return of the defective gigbag. I noted in a email to Jen, that I would like to see them increase the length of the back pack straps. She sent me some custom made extensions immediately! No Charge for those either, again. This company has very high standards, and obviously is "aiming high". The coustomer service goes beyond adequate, by a measure that no other manufacturers can even come close. It was as though I had a relative working for the company! I give them 10 stars! Their product is the best I have ever owned, and when I used it hard and damaged it, "they stepped up". This is a company you want to do business with. I would like to own stock in them!

Comments about MONO M80 Electric Bass Case:

Wow - if you want the best gig bag you can find, buy this.Ouch - [$]? Really?Issues: Wish the straps were anchored a little higher so the top of the bass doesn't stick up so much. Also wish the zippers had those little lock loops like some luggage zippers have so a travel lock would keep the riffraff out. Other than that, it's quite an investment but worth it if you travel a lot with a decent bass.

    What a bag!!!

    By Bassist JP

Comments about MONO M80 Electric Bass Case:

I bought this bag after many other bags had failed, and I am nothing short of impressed. The protection that this case offers is absolutely amazing. I have dropped, slid and knocked over this case so many time I have lost count and not on rip or tear. And my Smith 6 comes out just as it went in every time. The biggest test that its had was falling off of the loading belt on a 747. Fell all the way to the ground. Granted i did have it in a skb flight shell that this bag fits perfectly in. When I arrived on the ship I wasn't even out of tune. I was astounded. The only complaint is the trim and the bottom of the outside is not a sturdy matirial. Its not structural and purely for looks but its is cracking and peeling off.

The best gig bag you can get.

Comments about MONO M80 Electric Bass Case:

This gig bag is the best I have seen. I only rated it 4 for Features because it really needs a sleeve or something to hold a Genesis Ultimate GS-100 stand and then it would be just about perfect. Although another pocket on the front wouldn't hurt. As it is, it will hold my bass, a strap, my Sansamp BDDI, Tascam Bass Trainer, and all the cables I need to use those things. But, if it had another pocket, so I could fit one of the new generation of micro-sized amp heads, then it truly would be perfect. I'd like to fit my Promethean head in it, too, so then I could carry the gig bag, a 210 cabinet, and go play a gig, with just those two things to take.I rated the Value down because I think it really is over the top expensive for what it is. It's more than a G&G Tolex hardshell case. Since it won't hold EVERYTHING I need to gig with, the Value just isn't there. I'm starting to think I may as well carry my bass in the tolex HSC and put an amp and gadgets and cables in a bag or backpack. The bass would be better protected and I would still be able to carry everything just as easily.

Comments about MONO M80 Electric Bass Case:

I'll never buy another bass case unless I do international tours and feel I need an ATA flight case. It looks great, functions perfectly, and is worth your investment in it. It's really an investment in your instrument collection and your livelyhood (if you have to play a functioning instrument for money, that is).
The pocket is large enough to hold a small binder or sheet of music, as well as a couple cables and your misc stuff. There's also the pocket over the headstock for a screwdriver or pencils, and safe place to store your wallet or phone during a performace if you need to. The backpack-style straps are super-comfortable for me. Fits my 4 all the way up to my 7 string.
I've only had it for a few about 6 weeks, but it has held up supurbly through 4 domestic flights and numerous car trips. It fits into double overhead stowage on flights, and it also gate-checks very well if they run out of room. Interior is wood and finish-friendly. "MONO" metal logo on the front of the case pocket will get scratched if you transport other gear against the case.
How much have you spent on gig bags and cases in your lifetime thus far that you no longer use, or don't trust on a plane or in a van with other gear? For me, that's way over this price. This one case will last you the rest of your life unless you routinely stack your PA subs on top of it. It gives you the protection you need with the transportability and low wieght of a 'soft' case.

A Must Buy For Serious Traveling Bassists!

    By Chase Kealey

    from Philly/Harrisburg

Comments about MONO M80 Electric Bass Case:

I highly recommend these to any player that is out in the weather. I tried numerous other gig bags and hard cases, but none of them compare to these guys. I've had this particular case for over a year now and it looks just like the day I got it, even after being stuck in a blizzard for a few hours, running across campus countless times during torrential down pours, and being tossed around in a van on tour. I will definately be purchasing more of these in the future for my other basses!
These are fantastic bags! It may be a bit nit picky, but I wish the front pouch was a tad bit larger so i didnt need an additional bag for my rh450. Other than that all my cables, heaphones, books, and accessories fit really well and are protected.
I've been stuck in the literally, rain, sleet, and snow with no damage done to the bag, but most importanly my basses they housed. I truly can not recomend these enough!
They are a bit on the expensive side, but I dont worry about damaging my basses in transit anymore. Really great cases!

The storage for keys, wallet, cords, music, etc. are so well thought out and useful! Case is super strong and fits my Fender bass perfectly. Shoulder straps are easy to use or to store out of the way. I am a small lady and it is very comfortable to carry.

Comments about MONO M80 Electric Bass Case:

This product covers all the basics and then some. Note it is a soft case but that being said this case really holds your guitar/bass nicely. It holds the neck extremely well unlike other soft cases. That is very important because if your instrument falls over in the case and DOES NOT have the neck secured more damage could be experienced.
This case also rides nicely when using the shoulder straps. NO banging the head stock going through doors etc.
        It is worth the price!

Comments about MONO M80 Electric Bass Case:

The Mono bass bag is the best bass gig bag I have ever owned. If you can swing the price you're going to like the combination of Protection, it's light weight, it's stylish appearance, it's thoughtfully designed accessory compartments, and the comfort built into the handle and back pack straps. My bass doesn't shift around inside, because of the neck strap. The padding is semi-rigid, yet soft enough inside to protect the finish of the bass. This is the first soft case I've owned that lets my bass stay intune. Everything about the case is built for durability, outstanding protection, and function.
I'm a big guy and some gig bags I've had came with back pack straps way too short for me; not this one. I work a lot and carry my bass for quite a distance everyday. I end up in a crowded area and have to get through with my bass. The light weight and comfortable, solidly attached handle make it easy to carry, even in a croud.
I've worn out several gig bags over the last 10 years. (since I bought my G&L L2500, That's my work bass.)Before my Mono gig bag arrived, I had "borrowed" a Protec semi soft gig bag that I had purchased for another bass of mine. The Protec is a GREAT gig bag too. In most ways it is equal to the Mono bag. But the Mono case is much lighter and easier to manuver IMHO. I'm really diggin' the Mono bag, and would highly recommend it.

        Amazing case

Comments about MONO M80 Electric Bass Case:

Amazing bag, sturdy, well constructed, water resistant. If Victor Wooten trust this bag enought to carry around his $6000 Fodera, it's good enough for me. Other than the bass I carry in it, this was without a doubt the best investment yet.
Ample pocket space between the hidden pocket and the front panel pocket. I really like the pick storage area on the velcro strap.
The moment you pick it up out of the box, you can feel the quality and attention to detail. The side handle seems more sturdy than the handle on my truck. The zippers are equally as sturdy. Nothing feels half done or that there were any corners cut during construction. I hope the people in the factory take pride in their work. They should.
This bags expensive to the middle of the road player, I understand that. If you have invested any money in your bass, take pride in its appearance, and are concerned about maintaining it from damage, I would strongly recommend this bag. It is worth every penny and you won't need to lug around that bulky hardshell anymore.
