I've had the same 21 foot cable for about two and a half years, before I broke it today (time to get some strap locks). I've taken it to dozens and dozens of practices and gigged out with it many times and never wound it the "correct" way. It was never the cause of any noise. Great value for 25 bucks.

Monster Cables do the Job.

Features:

I have always gone with monster cables for instrument connections, and I have always been completely satisfied, never having any problems as I read others have had.

Quality:

As far as set up goes, the cables wind up nicely and do not pinch or develop kinks.  Haven't heard any noise from running cables close together.  Great sound at low to peak volumes.

Value:

Reasonable pricing--however, couldn't everything certainly be less expensive?

Overall:

Of course, I have always treated my equipment with the utmost respect and care.  That may be the difference between really enjoying a product and developing gripes along the way.

Monsters cheapest, better than most's best!

The S-100 is a great cable for all applications. This is one of my all time favorite cables and certainly in my top 3 overall. Great go to cable for anything. I have 2, 21 footers running my fx loop and a 12ft right angle for most of my guitar work. I also have a few Monster Rock cables when I wanna get serious and I am on the Marshall jcm stack.

Monster has an awesome way of "tunning" their cables (almost like different guages of strings) by using different and multiple core conductor sizes to enhance specific frequency responses. Thus equaling a fuller more organic tone. Even though the S-100 seriers is their "affordable" line, they still pay a good amount of detail in these cables as well.

I have sat down with multiple cables and put them up against Monster. With the same practice Marshall, same headphones, same setting and same Les Paul the Monster cables have the best and most transperent tone over my Planet waves custom, Mogami silver, Horizon concert series and live wire advantage. My ears don't lie, and that should tell you something!

If you are looking for a great cable for the price, you must buy the S series. It's indistructable, moves well with your body, very quiet and sounds great for the money. Buy One!

I didn't really notice any difference in sound, this is ok if you're looking for something to practice with.  After about a week the angled end started "cutting out" making and obnoxious feedback sound every time i moved the cable in the guitar jack.  If you're looking for something that's durable and sounds great, save up and buy a Mogami.

They don't last

Features:

I bought a few of these cables new in different lenght's. A couple of 10' and a couple of 20' I'm not rough with cables and I don't gig. I just play in my studio then roll them up in a pretty big circle and hang them up after I'm done.

The cables eventually loose the ability to transfer signal and start to cut out...No splits or cuts in the cable at all, they just crap out over a small period of usage with in a couple of months.

The fact that they are a monster cable is cool because I brought them back to my local Monster dealer and they give me a replacement. This has happened once and again the cables are now cutting out after a couple of months.

I am not returning them again!

Quality:

They look good but looks are deceiving...They don't hold up after a couple of months of light usage.

Overall:

My advice is to save your money and buy a better quality cable once and don't bother buying these. The warranty is nice but you can bet with in a couple of months they will start to cut out. It happen to me twice using 20' lengths and 10' lengths.
