Comments about Monster Cable Jazz Instrument Cable Straight-Angled:

I used to have the standard monster cable and another custom cable with amphenol connectors. I really thought they sounded fine. However, when I plugged this I could actually tell the difference. I didnt know I was losing so many highs with my old cables. I really like this cable. I must say I also got one of the new van damme PRS cables and they both sound awesome together.

Comments about Monster Cable Jazz Instrument Cable Straight-Angled:

For decades I'd never use an angle-end guitar cable, handy as they are, because the connectors weren't reliable enough. This Monster cable is like other Monster cables—pretty close to indestructible.

          Loss of tone

Comments about Monster Cable Jazz Instrument Cable Straight-Angled:

Monster is a great company in terms of customer support, but after going through a bunch of their cables, I am convinced they sound awful. Yes, there is a huge difference with a good cable, I agree. But the loss of tone I experienced with these at anything less than full volume setting on my guitars was startling. I thought I had problems with my guitar. Then I realized it was all of them ! I originally had the Monster Rock cables, which Monster graciously exchanged for me, and sent me two Jazz cables instead. No doubt, with your guitars pots set at full open, the sound if full and clear. Roll down your volume settings and it turns to mud. No, it's not my guitar(s). I next tried George L's and it's a night and day difference. No more Monster Cables for me

          Monster 500 Inst. Cable

Comments about Monster Cable Jazz Instrument Cable Straight-Angled:

I'll put it short and sweet...a little pricey but WELL worth it. When you are tough on cables and go through them like I used to (before I got these), the buck stops here. Buy this one and you won't ever have to buy another.

          Wow!! who knew!

Comments about Monster Cable Jazz Instrument Cable Straight-Angled:

I have a lot of top end gear but have been using the same cords for a number of years from back when I was playing out all of the time. I thought simply sitting down and re-soldering ends and canabalizint cords would work fine. Though it is a bit costly, I went ahead and purchased this cord our of laziness to repair my current cords. It's unbelievable the difference this one made (along with switching my pedalboard to George L's). The combo is beyond noticable. Good cords makes a huge difference, have no illusions about it. I gave it a 9 on value because lets face it, these are expensive wires but truly worth it. Take it from me, I have played for 30+ years and own a ton of high quality gear. This is worth it I just with they were a bit less in price.

Best cables I have ever used. Sound amazing and are incredibly durable. They're actually cheaper if you consider ho they outlast regular cables. Well worth the investment.

          Now I can hear it!

Comments about Monster Cable Jazz Instrument Cable Straight-Angled:

Using the Monster Cable Jazz for my beloved semi-hollowbody guitar made a big difference. I have doubted the claims that high-end cables can improve tone for many years. But the Monster Jazz really delivers a clearer, more powerful signal. Hum and interference are no longer a problem. I am now convinced that excellent instruments deserve quality cables. Just look at the finger-thick black Monster and the fused connectors: You get what you pay for. Of course you can always buy one cheap cable after another and never unlock the true potential of your playing. I will certainly get more Monsters for all my guitars, because they all want one now.

          Landmines on low-end.

          By BudSKowl

Comments about Monster Cable Jazz Instrument Cable Straight-Angled:

This is a great cable! I purchased it to replace an old one that was shot and figured the manufacturer?s quality background to make for a worthwhile investment. I bought the Jazz cable rather than the Rock cable because the store I was at did not have any Rock cables with the right angle plug, essential for my Les Paul. It has the extreme durability and professional looks written all over it, but there?s one thing that irks me about it: the low-end response. I tune to B so deep chugs and thundering open chords are frequent in my playing style. At this point I cannot explain what it is, but every so often when I hit certain chords on the low-end it creates this really awkward buzzing/rattling sound from my amp. I played around with my amp settings and got the buzz-rattle down to a minimum and actually found an even crunchier overdrive sound. Occasionally if I palm a low note just right it will still make that awkward sound, but other than that this is a worthwhile investment.
