These things are pretty nice. It does seem to cut down on a some of the unwanted noise but this is only one of the solutions to unwanted noise(cables,pickups,ect.). Its very nice how it displays the voltage of an outlet and whether or not it is grounded properly. It also includes plenty of plug ins. However,I do wish it came with the XLR light.I had one of these and after about a year, something went wrong and the circuit breaker tripped and wouldnt reset, thus no power to the outlets. I called monster and sent it in and got a new one in the mail, no questions asked. If something does go wrong with it, monster will take care of it. Overall, a good buy and great service.

It really does work for power conditioning. I immediately noticed my PA was quieter. It appears to be nicely constructed. The problems I have with it is that mine hummed gently in the background. Should something that is supposed to make everything quiet itself make a noise? No. After everything was turned off (but this unit was still plugged in) I could hear something humming. I got down next to the rack, and sure enough it was this unit. It was not humming when I first plugged it in, but after it had been plugged in for a while. This makes in unusable for me in quiet recording situations.

Also, I turned everything off and I noticed the digital voltage display was still on. You have to unplug it to turn it off. This annoys me and seems like a waste of electricity.

I decided to return this Monster unit and go with a Furman PL-Plus C. I'm happy. I thought I would prefer the digital voltage display of the Monster, but I actually like the colorful LEDs better. You can easily read it from further away, and the colorful lights are just more alluring than the digital display. Also, when I turn the Furman off there's nothing on the Furman that is still using electricity.

I bought it, I took it home, I plugged it in, it hummed. A silent studio and one power conditioner humming. Humming a musical note, not a 60 hz cycle... Really annoying!

I use this in my live rack. It powers everything and cleans up all of my "dirty" electric sound from poor wiring in outlets of stages or even my practice area. Definitely worth every penny, and with a lifetime warranty you cant go wrong with monster.

Comments about Monster Power PRO 2500 Rack PowerCenter:

Works well in my main rack...2 digital filter outlets(the board & driverack)...4 analog(not used)... and 2 high current(the amps)...cuts down the buzz & hum we had and it's sequenced...one touch power up/down for the whole system...Well worth the upgrade from the Pro 900...trust me.

Comments about Monster Power PRO 2500 Rack PowerCenter:

I play as a solo artist and as a member of a trio with a Bose PAS. All too often I wondered what kind of power I (we) were getting at the PA. No more. Voltage level and proper grounding is diplayed. I can now plug in, check out the display and know that the power I'm getting is adequate and properly wired! What a relief. I can now concentrate on playing music and not worrying about what I'm plugged in to. The unit is solid (check out the power cord!) and I've experienced no problems. GET IT!

Comments about Monster Power PRO 2500 Rack PowerCenter:

I am a mobile DJ and have used the MP 2500 since the day I bought all my own gear about four years ago. This thing is a tank. Of all the pieces of gear I own, I trust this one the most. I have about $15K invested in my gear and I need that trust. I docked .5 from features only because there are no plugs for wall warts (unless you use the front). Even .5 is almost too much to take off though when you consider all the other features this unit has.I have had one problem though. I arrived at a party, plugged in, and started rocking out. Shortly after, my entire system shut down! I checked the MP and it was in protect mode due to high voltage. I told my client the problem and informed her that I could not 'just bypass' the conditioner because my gear was worth too much. She understood. Throughout the night it clicked on and off every time disrupting the party. I wondered what would've happened had I chose the less expensive alternative...? Bottom line: the MP 2500 does it's job and does it well. If you have a problem with it, then it is not the units fault or yours... it's the venue!! Incredible product, worth every penny!

A Very Good First Power Conditioner

Comments about Monster Power PRO 2500 Rack PowerCenter:

I have been doing more home recording lately and figured it was time to step up from power strips (I have never had a power conditioner before, and should have bought one 20 years ago to control all the noise and power fluctuations at many bar gigs). I figure for a few bucks more than a good power strip, why not try the 2500? I am very pleased with this unit - and I can tell a difference....

Comments about Monster Power PRO 2500 Rack PowerCenter:

I was really doing some research on what kind of power center to buy for my amp rack. I am definitely glad I made this choice. I deal with some buildings that don't have the best electrical in them. This thing is great to make sure that you keep your equipment safe. Highly recommend.

Comments about Monster Power PRO 2500 Rack PowerCenter:

I've never played without one of these, so I can't say that it reduced all my hum, etc. However, I do know that my equipment never has a hum in it (like my guitar amp), which is all plugged into the same wall. Plus, it's supposed to protect thousands of dollars worth of equipment, and it works great. Never had a problem, and will buy again if needed.

Monster Power is great!

By godfatherofpunk

from California

Comments about Monster Power PRO 2500 Rack PowerCenter:

I just bought this unit (from a local retailer) after the salesperson showed me a "Clean Power" demo. Monster has basically created a power conditioner that cleans up all of the dirty AC noise that comes out of the wall. In switching out the conditioner I have had in my rack for over three years, the buzz and hiss once in my system is completely gone. Also, this Monster unit has isolation built in which further separates my digital and analog gear noise from one another. Plus the surge rating is higher than more expensive units I was originally looking at from other manufaturers. For the money I spent, it is well worth it - I really love what this unit did to improve my sound.

Good for 6 Months!

By GDoggDown

Comments about Monster Power PRO 2500 Rack PowerCenter:

The Pro 2500 was the power for my home studio gear. Good specs, lots of outlets, and great reviews. Six months after install the unit just simply failed - it was not even on when it suddenly flashed random LED numbers and then no power. Monster is replacing, but what a pain it is to have to re-rack and be down.

I have a home studio with all the trimmings. I buy good products that are low in price. I have 2 racks with effects so I had one Art power conditioner in each. Spent some extra coin to try the monster out and what a difference! Super quiet and built to last! Gonna get another to replace the other Art!

Comments about Monster Power PRO 2500 Rack PowerCenter:

I recently bought this and installed it in my rack case. I bought it to condition my ampeg bass amp. And for it to be my surge protector. I had been looking at the furman series power conditioner but I stumbled on this and fell in love with it. It's digital meter is easy to see and very accurate. The 6 second delay to power up comes in handy for your power amps. I higly recomend this product. Pricy but it's awesome. Buy it now.

Monster Power Rocks

By Doc-Rock

from Oregon Coast

Comments about Monster Power PRO 2500 Rack PowerCenter:

I purchased the MP PRO 2500 to replace another brand that was not working properly and only had a 90 day warranty. I didn't realize how bad the old unit was from day one until I hooked up the MP. The noise that had plagued us was almost non-existent and the delayed on and off eliminated the popping when powering up. My only criticism is it the outlets don't give you enough room for wall warts.

Gotta love this!

By godsanchor12

Comments about Monster Power PRO 2500 Rack PowerCenter:

I recently purchased MP Pro 2500 as an addition to my church's sound system. We were having a electrical grounding issue that was resulting in an annoying humming and buzzing noise coming through our sound system. I went to look at various power conditioners and was convinced that this was the best choice (it had better been for the price!). I immediately went to the church and hooked it up, the results were fantastic, a bystander couldn't even tell that the system was on. It took away the noise instantly. This is a great buy and I highly recommend it.

Unexpected Failure

Comments about Monster Power PRO 2500 Rack PowerCenter:

This unit failed after 6 months of intermittent use. After a 3 month layover I plugged the unit in and random numbers appeared on the readout window. The unit would not turn on and ultimately failed to perform as advertised. It wasn't returned to Monster but rather met its new home in the scrap heap. This unit was immediately replaced by a more simple unit manufactured by another top name company.

Necessary To Get The Most From Your Gear

Comments about Monster Power PRO 2500 Rack PowerCenter:

I have owned the 2500 for well over 6 months now and must say it is a Godsend. As an active gigging musician, I never knew the importance of clean power when it comes to running all my guitar rigs both onstage and in the recording studio. I thought it was all a line of garbage that was fed to me to get me to buy a product like this until now. Without using this unit, my sound in all its aspects is dull, buzzy and lifeless with a ton of noise, but with this everything has punch, definition and the utmost in clarity like I never imagined. Of course it also helps to spend the money on high grade patch cable as well to get the most of this product and hence, I use nothing but Monster Cable Studio Pro 1000 cable in all my amp rigs. I am very happy with this product and I think any other gigging musician will see what I am talking about if they give this a try!!
