...you're just looking to keep your rackmounts off the floor. I've had this little rack for over a year & I have no complaints about it, whatsoever. As a matter of fact, I would highly recommend it, depending on what you're wanting to use it for. As one of the earlier reviews said, I wouldn't recommend it for hard road use or roadie applications, but it's a nice little rack. True, it doesn't come with the hardware, but you can pick up a few bolts, nuts, & washers just about anywhere, just like I did. I use mine for my Elation Stage 6 DMX light controller & my American DJ power center, as well as other things, depending on what I'm doing, and it's just fine. It hasn't fallen apart & it's a well-built, sturdy rack frame. Well worth the money.

Just got my Musicians Friend 8-space, tabletop rack in the mail today. Bummed that no screws came with it. Even more bummed to discover that Musicians Friend does not carry the necessary hardware for this rack. I mean...look at it. Square "holes" in the rack rails...no machined threads...how do you screw anything into that? Without some type of threaded nut to screw your rack screw (bolt) into, this thing is useless. Buyer beware! Their Customer Support supervisors will try to sell you a bag of rack screws with washers...no threaded nuts...and will tell you that "this is all you need to make this rack work!"Yep, I know...I was stunned, too.

I bought two!!!!

By Atticdog

This is a GREAT deal. I bought two of these a couple years ago and have found them very sturdy. I am going to buy at least one more. But one of these, and a handful of nuts and bolts from a hardware store and relax, secure in the knowledge that your rack gear is safe and sounding good!

Only one drawback....

By DW-DHOGY

from Arkadelphia AR

I gave this a 4 in features only because of the square holes, which are NO BIG problem, its just kind of "unorthadox" in the world of rackmount gear. Your traditional rackmount screws wont work without a nut to secure the other end. I just went to a hardware store, spent about 4 bucks for a couple nuts, bolts and washers and I was in buisness. Other than this, the stand seems to be well built, sturdy, and reliable for DESK use. Worth the $$$ to me. The only other complaint is that the bottom space leaves virtually no room in the back of your peripheral for connections into the back with just a standard cable. It will need to have a bent head.

Good value!

By Steve South

from Austin, TX

I read the other reviews on this product and was reluctant to order one. I finally did order one, and was pleasantly suprised at the quality! It is very sturdy and as far as the square holes go, I just went to Guitar Center and purchased a bag of clips and screws that worked perfectly in this rack! For the money, you can't beat it! Get one!

No complaints

By METALLGAIN666

from Union City, MI

If people would actually read what this is, it's a rack FRAME. It's meant for an easy solution for getting your processors of the floor. It's sturdy and it's easy to put together. It's not a screw-in rack stand, it's a bolt-on. If you look at your processors, the whole are pretty much square, so this thing lines right up with them anyway. So square holes for round screws is not a problem. It's not made for regular rack case screws. BOLT-ON.

Great

By Hunter-lNDHZ

This thing fell apart as soon as I put it together. The end pieces on the metal frame are not connected very well at all, so the screws don't do a bit of good. I was able to semi fix it, but I'm a little nervous about putting my rack units in it. You sure can't beat the price though.

Could Be Better

By Uranium-235

from Tulsa, OK

I was disappointed this didn't include nuts welded on. I also don't like that I can only mount 7 units and not 8. Ultimately, mine only included 28 holes and each of my devices has 4 holes. However, unlike a few of the other reviews, my rack does some very sturdy. I recommend this for cheap solutions only. If you have the money to spare, get something better.

Pro's:This unit is sturdy and affordable.Con's:Does not come with the proper hardware, and hardware costs twice the ammount of the unit it's self.

Get what you pay for

By Project 359

from Martinez, GA

Not bad if you just want a simple solution to getting your processors off the floor. But you get what you pay for. When I put it together, I ended up ripping one of the bolt plates out of the bottom struts. I managed to secure it in place again but it leaves you wondering how sturdy it will be.I'd recommend this for people starting out with a home studio but keep it away from roadies and live performances. It won't last.
