Well what can i say it's ingenius, you'll never drop your guitar again. So simple yet effective AND cheap. And for the guys who said the plastic would mess up a guitar's finish, Have you even seen it, because of the way the cloth strap wraps around the plastic ends it never really touches your guitars finish. That alone tells me your just making a completly unfounded and ignorant conclusion. But I do have to say the straps would definitly be too short for any one over 5'7" for an electric, and even less for an acoustic (if you install a strap button at the heel of your acoustic like I did, you can be a giant and it'll still be long enough), other then that, I liked it so much I bought two more incase people are right about the plastic eventually wearing out or I lose one. Grab a couple the next time you need a couple bucks to get free shipping, or just get them anyways.

This strap is great for like 3 bucks. I have bought two in the past and have generally had good luck. But after about a weeks worth of use the plastic ends start to bend and when your playing it will just let go and your guitar will fall. This has happened to me quite a few times and I can't keep catching my guitar when it falls. So I am getting a new strap and putting straplocks on. I would buy this strap again but I would not put it on a guitar that you want to keep in good condition. It will scratch your guitar.

Pros

  • Durable.
  • Easy to use!
  • Quick to put on and take off.
  • Secure.

Cons

    Best Uses

    • Any guitar with old fashioned strap buttons

I remember when Musicians Friend had these. They were super cheap, looked good, locked right on any guitar with ordinary strap buttons and stayed on. I bought several, and they all still look and work great a decade later. None have ever failed or allowed me to drop a guitar. I don't even understand how to use ordinary strap locks. These were perfect, and need to come back!

    Great strap

    By Yo-LXUtn

    from Puerto Rico

I' ve beeen using this strap for about five years (and I use it everyday), and it has never failed me, the only problem is that I am now playing two different guitars, and don't want to be changing the strap from one guitar to another, and I thought I could find the black strap, which is the one I have...and it's not available!!!!!!...I really think they should have that option again.

    good strap for the $$$

This is a very good strap for the price. I'd never put such a thing on my electrics, though. But since it's nice and long AND it came with a little piece of string, it worked great on my old acoustic. I gave my first one to my friend when I sold him that acoustic and now I think I'm gonna buy another one. For a few bucks, it's worth throwing into your cart the next time you're buying stuff.

This is the best strap you will ever need. You know why, it's because of its special unique structure to hold in locking position while your jammin' away. when your playin' like pros it's always good to have a professional strap that guarantees you maximum strength.

Great Strap Hold On To It

    By Anonymous

    from Undisclosed

I think its a great value and the ends lock on to your strap button but they also scratch up your guitar/bass. Hold on to the blue one (if you get it) The guitar player for matisyahu uses one in the video "king without a crown"

    not comfy at all

This strap has awesome looks but it is the most uncomfortable strap i have ever tried on. Plus it has plastic ends and that is not good beause they bend and scratch up your guitar or bass. Plus this thing isn't really long. I play bass, and i like to keep it down real low. For the price you should get a performance plus because they have leather ends, and practically the same awesome looks at about the same cost.

    Awesome

    By Anonymous

This strap is an incredible steal. I'm truly amazed at how good this strap is. First off, it's durable and looks awesome. I have the blue one, and it's a great looking strap. The plastic locks are by far the best feature. When you hear that 'click' noise of the strap, you know your guitar isn't going anywhere. I'm going to order a couple more!

I didn't know what to expect when I bought this strap. It is awesome! I love it. It is comfy and I am going to buy a lot more. They are perfect for gigs and anything else. I recommend these to everyone who doesn't have enough money to buy the stylish straps haha.

It's a well made druable strap, the only thing is that the ends, where it locks onto the guitar pegs, well the plastic parts are so large that they scratch your guitar if the strap moves while you play.

    Great for the most part.

I bought one of these straps a little while ago for my bass. Big mistakes. These straps are fairly high quality, but it couldn't hold up under the weight of the heavy bass, and the plastic snapped when I leaned forward, after only two days of playing. That said, these would work very well on an electric or acoustic guitar, and you won't find anything else this quality for this price.

    Awesome

    By PDJ

    from Charlottesville, VA

I love this strap. The designs on them may not be the best but the actual strap is awesome. Once it locks on the guitar isn't going anywhere, I even have enough confidence in this strap to turn my guitar onto my back and wear it sort of like a one strap back pack when im walking around with it. And for the price how can you go wrong.

    Pretty good...

    By Steeler

    from nowhere

I bought this because it was cheap and I didn't have much money left after buying my guitar (Ibanez GRX20). The ends are durable enough (although if you tried to you could probably snap them pretty easily) and it looks okay. The dude who said it was too short apparently doesn't know how to adjust a strap... I'm five five and at its longest it's near my knees. Get the blue one.

    Locking Strap

I own a bunch of these; they work great and last a long time. Best strap I have ever owned for the money. My only complaint: GET RID OF THE LAME COLORS AND SELL IT IN SOLID BLACK. I would buy a dozen today - one for each instrument - if they were solid black.

Not bad quality and you can't beat the price, but even when it's adjusted out all the way, it's entirely too short to be of any use to an adult of average height. If you like your guitar hanging just below your chin, then this is the strap for you.
