Hope your mic is small

When putting this thing together, I was pretty satisfied with the quality, it seemed like it would hold up... until I put my kick mic on there. Just not enough weight on the base to allow me to extend the boom as far as I would like. The boom does go on for days though, that thing just kept going. Which brings up another problem. I don't have a huge room from my set, and that thing is just stickin out right in the way. I'm not gonna return it, its still a good stand, but if you got a heavy kick mic, I suggest spending a little more for something heavier

Can be a great deal...

That is if you don't abuse it. The top mic clip part of mine popped right off. It's not welded, crimped, set-screwed, or even glued into place. Well, it is now! I shouldn't have had to do that though. That's why I rated it LOW in quality. But high on value - it's a great little stand for the price. I'm going to use it in my home studio, so it wont get too much abuse from me. I don't think this thing would last too long in a gigging environment though. You would be better of spending more money if you need a road-ready stand.
