Tons of features, great padding, pockets galore. Comfortable carry with the shoulder straps. But a few annoyances. The zipper is WAY too big. Does not round the corners real well. They should switch to a smaller zipper. And this thing is roomy to a fault. When you frist set your instrument in the bag is gets lost in it. It does snug up some when it is zipped. However the excess room isn't a big concern to me. It doesn't slop around when you carry it, and doesn't shift around in the truck, so I am not going to sweat it.

Huge dissapointment. The rear seam of the day pack seperated the VERY FIRST time I attempted to use it rendering it unusable. This was very disappointing as I was really excited to get it in the mail. This 3rd party - manufactured product unfortunatly has no direct avenue for contacting actual manufacturer with this issue.Other than that, the padding is good but the gig bag is seems to be a too big and has a lot of useles space inside - (my 5 - string) bass shifts around way too much and the placement of the straps are very uncomfortable and not at all ergonomic. The strongest feature is the padding, however the "bells and whistles" really don't improve the overall design which is mediocre at best.My suggestion would be to buy a brand name Gig Bag to ensure better quality and accountability

GREAT FOR BIG GUITARS TOO

By TomPF

from SoCal

I bought one of these to put my Dean ML bass in, but it was a little too short. Instead, I use it for my Jackson RR vee guitar, and it's awesome for that! Other gig bags aren't big enough for the Jackson, but this one is. Mine has great construction and is rugged and well padded. Tons of pouches and places to store cords, music, etc. I was never big on gig bags until this one. Worth the full price, a steal on sale.

Exceptional Value

By Phil-ZF_cT

from Detroit, MI

I bought one of these when I purchased a six-string recently, and I liked it so well, I bought another for my eight-string. It's large enough for big basses, well-padded, and has convenient storage. The main zipper is a little finicky, but that's because it's soft-sided, and you have to align the sides as you bring the zipper around. - no big deal. The multiple handles allow you to carry it upright, like a suit case, or like a backpack. At this price, I don't know how you do better.

Great Gig Bag

By Ronny

from WI

This is a great gig bag. It is very comfortable and thick. It is very padded. Your bass will not get damaged. It has a lot of areas for storing stuff. It is worth getting it for sure.

It ripped on me in less than a year

By Anonymous

from Undisclosed

I rotated this with my heavy gig cases (Fender SKB) and a Lakland Hardcase. I used this for just transporting to and from rehearsal (not even gigs). The thing ripped in the bottom corner and my bass almost came out onto the floor! I took it to a shoe repair place to get it sewed up. It was a Christmas Gift, but I would never recommend buying this product to anyone.

Great for me!

By RMS Studios

from Pittsburgh, PA

I don't understand why everyone hates this bag. I have no problem with the zippers or had any seams blow out. The padding is great! It actually fit my Brownsville Bat Bass! Well worth the money! I only wish it was 2 inches longer to fit my Warlock bass! I gig and this bag is constantly on the go.

Worst bag ever.

By Wannaplaybass

from Clarksburg, WV

This gig bag was a waste of time and money. The zippers are just down terrible, they kink and makes the thing hard to close. And it really offers no protection what so ever. I bumped my bass on a step and now I have a ding on bass from the step, I would have been better off to tie a shoe string to my bass for transport. It looked to have good padding, but the padding just collapsed from the weight of the bass. Its too big even for a 5 string, in fact you could fit two basses in the thing probably. Bottom line, its size defeated the purpose of having a gig bag, awkward to carry, poor design and did not protect against the slightest bump. Do not buy this bag.

Cool Features, Poor Quality

By Degroove

Mine ripped withn a few months of use. The zippers were not an issue. I was a pretty careful user as well. I did not want to get my basses banged up anyway.

Not so bad

By MattServo

from IL

I found the Musician's Friend Professional Electric Bass Gig Bag to be quite suficcient for careful transportation of my bass. The extra large size accomodates any size bass, even really large ones such as the Ibanez ASB140 Semi-Hollow. Zippers are large-tooth plastic, but were not impossible to close and do not seem like they will break. The stiching and padding also seem fine for normal day-to-day careful use.

Very loose fit

By hwy49

from Riverside, OH

Bag and padding good, but electric bass has excessive room to float around inside bag. Bag too big for my Jazz or Music Man.
