Tons of features, great padding, pockets galore. Comfortable carry with the shoulder straps. But a few annoyances. The zipper is WAY too big. Does not round the corners real well. They should switch to a smaller zipper. And this thing is roomy to a fault. When you frist set your instrument in the bag is gets lost in it. It does snug up some when it is zipped. However the excess room isn't a big concern to me. It doesn't slop around when you carry it, and doesn't shift around in the truck, so I am not going to sweat it.

Huge dissapointment. The rear seam of the day pack seperated the VERY FIRST time I attempted to use it rendering it unusable. This was very disappointing as I was really excited to get it in the mail. This 3rd party - manufactured product unfortunatly has no direct avenue for contacting actual manufacturer with this issue.Other than that, the padding is good but the gig bag is seems to be a too big and has a lot of useles space inside - (my 5 - string) bass shifts around way too much and the placement of the straps are very uncomfortable and not at all ergonomic. The strongest feature is the padding, however the "bells and whistles" really don't improve the overall design which is mediocre at best.My suggestion would be to buy a brand name Gig Bag to ensure better quality and accountability

Very loose fit

Bag and padding good, but electric bass has excessive room to float around inside bag. Bag too big for my Jazz or Music Man.

This bag pretty much sucks

By squierbassist895

this bag is pretty much horrible. when i put my bass in it, the tuners get adjusted and the first week or so i got it the bottom ripped from the weight of the bass. dont buy this bag if you dont want to waste your money!

It ripped on me in less than a year

By Anonymous

from Undisclosed

I rotated this with my heavy gig cases (Fender SKB) and a Lakland Hardcase. I used this for just transporting to and from rehearsal (not even gigs). The thing ripped in the bottom corner and my bass almost came out onto the floor! I took it to a shoe repair place to get it sewed up. It was a Christmas Gift, but I would never recommend buying this product to anyone.

Sticky Zipper, but super padded

By Dk777

from Salem, OR

Great bag for the price, but I agree. The zippers are a bit tricky and the bag is so cushioned that it almost defeats the purpose of the gig bag (kind of bulky). Super heavy duty for the price, however, and plenty of storage. I'd probably recommend it to most.

GREAT FOR BIG GUITARS TOO

I bought one of these to put my Dean ML bass in, but it was a little too short. Instead, I use it for my Jackson RR vee guitar, and it's awesome for that! Other gig bags aren't big enough for the Jackson, but this one is. Mine has great construction and is rugged and well padded. Tons of pouches and places to store cords, music, etc. I was never big on gig bags until this one. Worth the full price, a steal on sale.

Exceptional Value

I bought one of these when I purchased a six-string recently, and I liked it so well, I bought another for my eight-string. It's large enough for big basses, well-padded, and has convenient storage. The main zipper is a little finicky, but that's because it's soft-sided, and you have to align the sides as you bring the zipper around. - no big deal. The multiple handles allow you to carry it upright, like a suit case, or like a backpack. At this price, I don't know how you do better.

Great for me!

I don't understand why everyone hates this bag. I have no problem with the zippers or had any seams blow out. The padding is great! It actually fit my Brownsville Bat Bass! Well worth the money! I only wish it was 2 inches longer to fit my Warlock bass! I gig and this bag is constantly on the go.

The bag is overall pretty good, except for the stupid zippers. They are too big and bulky.

Great Gig Bag

This is a great gig bag. It is very comfortable and thick. It is very padded. Your bass will not get damaged. It has a lot of areas for storing stuff. It is worth getting it for sure.

Don't buy it

The quailty on this bag is poor at best. The draw string pocket on the side broke the first time I used it. The bag is really big and bulkly, and the bass moves around inside. The shoulder straps are uncomfortable and put the bass too high on your back. The only good thing about the bag is the padding and it does what it's suppose to.

Great bag, but the zipper is lacking........

By bassplayer33

This is a great bag with great features and a fair amount of room. I have one fault with it. That dumb zipper is big and bulky, and gets caught at different places. Great bag otherwise.

Provides good level of protection, has enough pockets etc., looks good, and is value priced. My problem is with the zippers on the main bag. They frequently stick and bind when closing the bag. A big pain. If the zippers worked consistently this bag would get an above average rating, and I would definitely buy another one. As it stands, I can't recommend this bag for anyone that is going to use it often.

Not so bad

By MattServo

I found the Musician's Friend Professional Electric Bass Gig Bag to be quite suficcient for careful transportation of my bass. The extra large size accomodates any size bass, even really large ones such as the Ibanez ASB140 Semi-Hollow. Zippers are large-tooth plastic, but were not impossible to close and do not seem like they will break. The stiching and padding also seem fine for normal day-to-day careful use.

Room for Two

By JimmyRiot

from Brooklyn, NY

Way too big. I have a large 5-string, and I put it with its own padded soft case ON in to this bag. The 'backpack" however, is tiny. The length of the shoulder straps is way too short, and set too close to the body, so make sure to duck when going through doorways, and don't wear a thick coat. The zipper also split when I tried to re-attatch the one-strap backpack. The only reason I don't return it is in case I need to take two basses somewhere. However, it's well padded, and it was inexpensive.

Mine ripped withn a few months of use. The zippers were not an issue. I was a pretty careful user as well. I did not want to get my basses banged up anyway.
