For my home studio recording, this stand really impresses me. It has a study feel and has the weight, balance, and reach needed for my MXL 2006 microphone and Nady MPF-6 pop screen. The hex-head pin screws holding the legs to the metal triad base is exceptional. The added cable clip makes it easy to secure the line and gives the unit that professional touch (little things can mean alot.)No doubt - this is one of the best mic stands I've ever owned!

I ordered one of these stands trying to save money. It arrived at my house broken. I called Musiciansfriend and they sent me a return label and placed an order for the second one. The second one arrived at my house today and is also broken. These are poorly made and can't even stay together in a box in shipping, how are they going to stay together in the real world?

Does not rock, but it stands.

For the price - included 20' cord and synamic mic. Bought two and, so far, nothing but praise. Construction is better than expected and adjustments work well. Clutch on the upright is actually a nice design and works very easily. Mic is cheap, but produces sound adequate for practice. Holds a heavy large condenser mike at full height and extension without extra weights! Overall can't beat it for the price.

Poor quality, all were broken

By Repent34

I ordered 5 of these. All the boxes were in great shape yet every one had the same broken part, right out of the box!! The tightening sleeve for the boom arm was broke on all of them. Not worth the hassle. Save your money and aggravation.

Not bad....

I use this stand in my garage for jamming. It doesn't fall down or swing around. It's good for just garage practice, but onstage it might be worth spending another 20 bucks for a better one.

Tripod Mic Stand with Telescopin

By Anonymous

from Undisclosed

Well first of all you have to be smarter than the mic stand and you can't twist the knobs like a crazy person. I have thrown this mic stand one than once and it hasn't even broke. I've had 3 of these for like 2 years and they're used like twice a week. They're worth the money and if it breaks they aren't expensive just get another one.

disappointed

You get what you pay for. Knobs break off after 1st use, one leg fell off, threads stripped on adjustment screw after 1st use. You can't tighten it tight enough to hold it in place, it keeps falling down. If you buy this, plan on holding the mike in your hand

Not good

By Huge

from Hamilton, MT

One of the tightening knobs stripped out in the first day. Very cheaply made. I guess this time you get what you pay for rings true. I still use it to mic my bass drum - although duct tape was needed to hold the boom arm in place due to the stripped knob.

Cheap price ,cheap product

By The Rover

One of the knobs to tighten the boom stripped after minimal use. I am always careful with my stuff so I know it wasn't forced or abused. Bad design in my opinion

beware

By dusty-N9jbO

i bought 2 of these stands for overhead micing of a drum kit. using 2 very light nady 88 pencil condencers and they still fall over. the screw locks on the legs were stripped and dont hold. the only reason i gave the features a 6 is for the telescoping booms. dont waste your money.
