Comments about Musician's Gear 12-Space Microphone Bag:

I got 2 on sale, and got a great deal. I'm not going on the road, so for my purposes they're fine. There's not a lot of protection for the top of the mics, so it's fortunate that I have shelves built into my trailer. Great for a backseat, van, truck, or trailer; not so great for a tour. For that, I'd have coughed up the cash for a road case. But this is strictly a hobby for me, so I'm happy with my purchase.

Comments about Musician's Gear 12-Space Microphone Bag:

yes, if you're a big shot act touring the nation with loads of gear packed in a trailer or checked as airline luggage you need a hard case... this item is not advertised as pro tour gear... so if it fits your budget by all means spend the extra money.

but for an average Joe who simply wants a safe way to store a bunch of mics in one place and to have them ready for easy transport from time to time i have no complaints. i mainly have SM58's and OM2's in it. and while it is a tight fit, they do fit and are well enough protected for my needs. the mics snug in tight and don't budge an inch once zipped up. I love that I no longer have to mess with keeping track of and dealing with a combination of 12 little mic bags and cases all the time. Just a quick glance tells me that all the mics are accounted for. Do not buy it for condensor or wireless mics- it is for traditional handheld mics. a tad more padding on the top might be nice but for the price how can you beat it?

Comments about Musician's Gear 12-Space Microphone Bag:

I am a bass player who doubles as our bands sound engineer. I use to carry all of the microphones in a plastic kitty litter bucket (hey, it's what I had). This carrier holds them securely and allows me to keep them organized. It has a side pocket for adapters and short cables also, and a shoulder strap.

Nicely made and a convenient size

        By kokotele

Comments about Musician's Gear 12-Space Microphone Bag:

It's a bag with holes to store your microphones... there's not too much to say. It seems to be well made and I expect it to hold up well. The side pocket is convenient

A couple of nitpicks: the holes are too small for the windscreen of most vocal microphones, so you have to kind of cram them down in there, and you have to apply a decent amount of force when zipping. The holes are also far bigger than an SM57, so they wobble around in the holes. Neither of these are big deals, but the bag costs enough that you'd think they would have figured this out.

        Great for SM 57s

        By BandB-Sound

        from Phoenix

Comments about Musician's Gear 12-Space Microphone Bag:

If you've got a dozen SM 57s or any narrow bodied mic you will love this bag. Size is small enough to carry easily and the foam will protect your mics. The front pouch (unpadded) is handy for several belt packs, spare batteries, windscreens, etc.Why I marked it down-The case is too shallow for any mic longer than 6". Most of my handhelds are 6.5- 7". I tried to stuff four 6.5" CAD 195's into it and punched dents into the bottom foam before I could get the lid zipped. The lid has 1/2" thin, flexible padding- I'd feel better if it was 1".The foam is very dense and will transmit case impacts to the mic bodies/elements. It is cut in narrow cylinders- unlike mics which generally taper to a ball at the end. To get the mic to seat I had to jam the ball down into the foam. If I didn't- there was no way to zip the lid. Look closely at their image and you will see dents in the lid from the mics. That reduces the padding between your investment and the cymbal stand that crashes on top of it.I was going to use an exacto knife and trim away the top of each hole to fit the mic ball, but the length issue would still be unresolved. I ended up using 2 of the $20 (on Sale) 6-space mic bags and put both foams into the same bag. The taller foam easily handles my 7" mics and is softer for reduced shock. That gave me a 2nd bag for whatever at no additional cost.
