    It is cheap the short cables are fine. Not good for anything over 3 feet.

    Low cost and on sale so that's why I bought them. Ordered 4 but only 2 came. Only charged for 2. One of the 1/4 inch ends was too large to fit into anything. I took a file to it and took off the rough edges and then it fit. Not the greatest but good for the price.

        Firstly, I am not a cable tone guru. I have not tried Mogami or Monster or Lava. I don't have much belief in the magic of expensive cables. I won't discount other people's ears though.

        Well, I work as quality in a cable lab, and I can tell you what I like about the Musicians Gear cables. One, they are very durable and well made. Two, they have boots shrunk down onto the connectors. The second point is so big to me. I can't tell you how sick of unscrewing plug assemblies I am. The shrunk down boots on these things is why I buy them period.

        So, they have what I want. I am not a tone expert. I know how it is though. I will pick and choose amp tubes like they were lightsaber crystals. Other people can't hear the difference. So, I basically can't hear the difference with cables. For inexpensive, durable cables, you can't beat the Musicians Gear stuff.

        Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

                I bought these cables because they were in my price range, and had a decent rating. I use these cables every week at practice for instruments and sound equipment. they hold up pretty well with the braiding. Mine have been stomped on, rolled over, etc., and are still in good condition. The color varity has really come in handy.

                The only downside to these cables is the straight ends. These work fine for plugging into and amp or speakers, but the end that plugs into my guitars and bass is getting bent simply from gravity. If the cables had at least one angled end, this wouldn't be a problem. I'm afraid that this might cause them to short out eventually, but if that's the case I wouldn't have an issue buying these again.

                Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

                  Watch the price when ordering. The advertised low price is for the short patch cables so just know that when ordering. However these are still the best priced braided cables on the net. I buy them for myself and my students because they are colored and we know who's who's that way. I like the flexibility and sound. The Best thing is the heat shrink connector covers. Kids will never pull the cables out correctly and I found the heat shrink cables hold up much, much better... Good job Musicians friend...
