I can only imagine that a couple of slightly flawed pedals have gotten passed quality control from what I've read because the one I bought along with all the other peoples rave reviews seem to be dead on in tune as checked with my professional, really expensive rack tuner and it was dead on to the cent. Plus it really, really looks cool with the red to green scale light and a backlight as well, for this price you really can't beat this thing. It also reminds me of another pedal tuner out there for 4 times the price so...go figure. Oh and mine is dead quiet, no coloring the signal or any type of interference what-so-ever. We'll have to wait and see how long it will last under daily usage and/or gigging though. Mind you it does seem to have a rock solid build, and it's got some weight to it as well. I like it.

When they see this things, fellow musicians often comment things like, "Dude! So cool. Hot tuner!" They don't have to use it though. It is inaccurate for both my electric and acoustic guitars. While the needle may settle nicely, when you listen to the result, it is usually obnoxiously out of tune. I have eaten up lots of precious time onstage trying to undo the messes this piece of junk got me into. Fortunately, I'm so old I have experience tuning instruments by ear in loud, crowded bars. But I don't want to!

Broke after a few months

By Billy Boy

from Reno, NV

Just plain stopped working after a few months. Kept it in its box when not in use. Wouldn't tune anything, but relayed the instrument to the amp still when clicked off, so it had power.Tried changing batteries, tweaking wires, etc. Nothing.

Affordable and Accurate

By JR-W4lBa

from PA

This tuner is precise, fast, and cool to look at. Although it doesn't have the casino-like lights like some other tuners do, it has a brightly lit display, which you can select the either green or red for "in tune" and not "in tune". The price of this pedal is quite nice, and I like that it sports two outputs, one of which is for silent tuning.

Sweet

Great pedal. My brother got it for me for my birtday last month and it has becomme a welcomed addition to my pedal board. I gigged a few times with it and not only does it look great, but it's fairly accurate. pick it up if you need a good tuner!

Noisy

By NY Guy

from NY

Looks nice and it's very convenient to have the jacks on the top, but it adds buzzing noise. Hard to realize at first as it's no so evident, but at idle is when you hear it most, and then once you hear it, it's there to stay. Such a shame because it works well and looks good. Returned it.

I like it

By Trevor Black

from indiana

The Musicians Gear Pedal Tuner works just as well as other tuners in the same price range with the added bonuses of it being at your feet and having a large, bright, easy to read screen. But remember that this thing isn't as tough as high-end pedals. They are called "stomp boxes" but you shouldn't actually stomp on them. "light toe-tap if you want them to work well boxes" is more accurate but just doesn't sound as cool.

Great Tuner

By Blue Christ

from Undisclosed

I don't usually write reviews, but I just got this tuner last week and it's been great. All metal housing, solid switch, fast responce, all around great pedal. This is the first guitar tuner I've ever had that I've tried to tune all my strings to, instead of just tuning the E and using harmonics from there, but this tunes them quickly and acurately, works great for a 7 string as well. One great feature is that the whole screen turns from red to green when your in tune, very idiot proof. Couldn't be happier with it.

Nice tuner

By Lockit55

Ask me a question

I just received this tuner and I really like it. Whats nice about this is that it is backlit and can be seen very well. When your sharp or flat it is backlit red and when you are tuned in the backlighting turns green. Of course there is a digital pointer on it too. All in all a really nice floor pedal tuner that would be a nice addn. to your pedal chain.

cool cheap tuner!

By Old Rock & Roller

from Pt. Pleasant, NJ

This thing is pretty cool & an outstanding buy. Sure, there are more "deluxe" pedal tuners out there but this is all you really need. I had a Fender pedal tuner that was three time the price of this one. After only a couple years of use it starting "farting" in the key of E every time kicked it on. Very annoying at gigs. Hopefully this MG pedal will stand the test of time. Right now, it works great. I like that it cuts off the signal while you'e tuning (the Fender didn't) and whe whole face lights up green when you're in tune. Very handy in dark settings. Nice job!
