I'm a lifelong guitar player with wide experience of many products. For years, I've been using a floor-level folding tilt-back amp stand, mainly for it's portability (folds flat, lightweight members). However, it didn't always offer optimum sound projection--I often reverted to putting my amp on a chair to get it up off the ground so I could hear it better. Missed the tiltback feature, though, so I recently ordered one of these. Because of the price (I think I paid around twice as much for my folding tilt-back), I was doubtful about the strength of this new one, but I'm happy to say, it's strong and stable (for the most part), and I don't worry about my amp being elevated on this stand. My quibble in the last sentence is just that while the amp is quite stable on the lowest two settings, as you elevate it, it tends to be less so and, if nudged (or pulled a la patch cable), could tip forward to spill your amp. Not really a problem, as the lowest settings are high enough (about chair height) for most situations. If you need to raise it higher, just be careful to position the stand so as to minimize opportunities for it to get nudged or pulled forward. This stand is also heavier and bulkier than my folding amp stand, and has to be disassembled into 3 parts instead of simply folded, but it folds and packs very flat, once apart. I assure you, these are very, very minor quibbles, not product defects. I think this stand is a very sound product and an excellent value. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to you with complete confidence. Unless, maybe, you have to pack your rig into a Smart Car or something.

The stand is a bargain for the price. I set up the top arms opposite of the picture shown. When set up as shown the stand and my 40lb Behringer could be easily knocked over. The real problem was the overwhelming toxic smell coming from the rubber feet. I had to remove them and have them in my basement. Hopefully the smell will disapate. My entire apartment smelled from the rubber.

Excellent stands for combo amps 12-inches wide or wider. Hint for those having balance problems and/or those with open-back amps: reverse the arms so the longer arms are the lowest, i.e., so they are the arms under the amp. That's it!

reading the reviews, people say the rubber stinks. of course its going to stink when you first open the package. everything that has rubber in a package is going to stink at first for a little bit but dont let that draw you away from this amp stand. the stink GOES AWAY QUICKLY. ITS NOT BAD. Other than that, this thing is great- at a price you CANNOT BEAT! its sturdy, stable, and holds the amp at a great height. Highly recommended!

Finally I can see the control knobs on my amp without getting down on the floor. As I sit on my chair, the controls are at eye level. I can even use them when standing because the amp is tilted back. I have a heavy combo amp and was concerned about stability, so I was very pleased to set this up and realize that it holds my amp very well. I think that the weight of the amp might actually improve the stability of the stand. This seems to be well-made, looks great, and has helped improve the functionality of my amp dramatically. I don't know how I got along without this for so many years. Also, it is very easy to put together. This is a must-have for anyone with less than perfect eyesight and a desire to improve the look of a room.

I was surprised when I received this amp stand from UPS. This is a very well made and sturdy stand that looks great. Getting the amp up off the carpet actually makes it sound better and it is so much easier to adjust the volume, effects etc. I would definitely recommend to anyone with a 50 watt or less amp.

Great value out of this amp stand. Built very sturdy and will definitely last a lifetime. It doesn't mention in the description that the amp supports can be removed and turned around. Doing so makes the amp sit almost level instead of tilted back, so there are actually 2 angles it can be used at. Other people mention that it is unstable, but on the lowest height setting (which is plenty high enough) there are no issues with it falling over. I will definitely be getting more of these for my fellow band mates. At this price, I can afford to do that. Just get one. You won't regret it.
