I have four of these and used them for years. They get the job done BUT the photo shown on the Musician's Friend web site shows the support arms installed backwards. Installing them to match the photo makes the stand front heavy and unstable if anything but the smallest amp is put on it. The correct, and stable, way to put the arms in is so that the longer arm is on the bottom, not the back (see the attached photo of my stand.) In the Musician's Friend photo, the left arm and right arm need to be switched. I told them about this years ago but they've never corrected the photo.

I have the Fender Mustang 3 and it doesn't fit it well. The back support doesn't come high enough. It sits in the open part of the back so it could tip inside of it.
I should of done little more research but I was trying to save a buck
But it will serve it purpose for being at home stand. I would recommend this for on the road.

  • Finishing could be better

Comments about Musician's Gear Deluxe Amp Stand:

It's a reasonable stand, with a killer price. There's no angle adjustment and the finish it's not that great, but works well.

Yes, you need to turn the forks in order to adjust its center of gravity, if you use a heavy amp. When you'll do that, you'll lose the 45º angle - and it can be good, because you'll be able to set small heads on that. I put some pictures showing it.

Also, I recommend to put some rubber pads on the forks (check my pictures). The amp will feel safer and the rubber will absorv some vibration noise.

Comments about Musician's Gear Deluxe Amp Stand:

I have two of these now. They are good and sturdy, easy to transport as they come apart and the pieces lay flat. I don't use the highest settings cause they could be knocked over, but at the lower two this is extremely stable. With the tilt back design, even at the lower settings it is still pointed up at your face so I don't feel like i want it higher anyway. The price makes these a no brainer for those who want to hear their amp more without cranking the volume.

Comments about Musician's Gear Deluxe Amp Stand:

This stand works perfectly for my needs. I am using it with a Vox AD30VT. I wanted a stand that raised it off the floor and put the amp at a slightly backward angle. This makes access to the controls easier and the amp easier to hear. There's one negative to putting my amp on a stand - and it's not the fault of the stand, therefore I did not account for it in my rating. Raising my midsize combo amp off the floor greatly affected its tone. In my case it reduced the low end and low mids coming from my amp. I am certain this has to do with the amp not having solid contact with the floor and the dampening that provides. I'm also sure this would be true with any size amp placed in the stand. But, depending on your amplifier, and the tones you like to play with, you may be able to make adjustments in your controls to compensate for this. In my case I cannot. With smaller amps this probably wouldn't matter at all, because they don't have any low end to begin with. If you were in the market for a stand before reading that part of my review, don't let it change your mind. This stand does exactly what it's supposed to and it was an extremely good price/value - so much so that you cant go wrong purchasing it just to try it.

Comments about Musician's Gear Deluxe Amp Stand:

Extra Heavy Duty, but does not collapse down like my other amp stand. BUT it has extra height over the collapsible. I can use my small amp in a small club and get better projection to the audience. About half the height as my PA Speakers.

Comments about Musician's Gear Deluxe Amp Stand:

Bought this to get my Fender Blues Jr. up off of a tile floor in my house, so I chose only based on price. Turns out to be a great piece of equipment that doesn't seem flimsy or cheap at all. As others have mentioned, you just have to make sure to assemble it correctly.

Comments about Musician's Gear Deluxe Amp Stand:

I bought this stand to hold a Fishman Loudbox mini amp, and it has worked well for that size amp. I no longer have to bend to adjust the levels on the amp, because this stand raised it to the right height for me. A great value for the price.!
