Good fit for many guitars, Hagstrom HL550, Taylor 914ce, Epiphone DR-500 MCE, Fender Sonoran SCE, Yamaha FG 365 SE. This actually fit an Epiphone Swingster as well,..with plenty of room for the vibrato bar. In this case, as in some of the others above,...the depth of the case may be off a tad,...so that the body of the guitar does not fit flat as desired,...leaving an angle from the guitar body to the neck. What holds the guitar body from fitting flat and creating an angle is the neck rest. I'm going to experiment in lowering the neck rest in my cases. Usually there's a couple of screws holding the neck rest in place and it seems to me you could take those out,...file down the bottom of the neck rest leaving the felt in place on the top,...in order to lower the guitar down so that the guitar body fits flat against the bottom of the case. I recommend of course getting the perfect fit in the first place so that no adjustments are necessary. I have a couple dozen guitars though with some of them not fitting their case perfectly so I think I will try adjusting the neck rest of the case for a better fit rather than buying all new cases. Good luck!

I can recommend this, but only with the caveat that the buyer understands what he or she is getting for the price. In this and previous tweed case I ordered from MF, the latches don't line up properly, tweed fabric has scuff marks and glue stains. The second case was even worse than the first and had numerous splits/gaps in the interior plush fabric. Reading other reviews, I didn't expect two bad cases in a row. Between insurance & shipping, not worth returning as there's no guarantee a replacement will be any better than what I have. Fits dreadnoughts but not auditorium/jumbo (which most old archtops are.) Upper bout can be no wider than 12.5", lower no wider than 16" (and those are snug.) Buyer beware.

Comments about Musician's Gear Deluxe Dreadnought Case:

This case was a great value at the sale price.

I now have four or five of these cases. I use them for storage and ground travel, and they are excellent for these purposes. I rated this case 5 stars for ground travel, NOT air travel.

These cases fit my largest acoustics nicely, but not sure if they fit the Takamine jumbo.

      Rock on.

Comments about Musician's Gear Deluxe Dreadnought Case:

I bought the tweed version two years ago for an Epiphone acoustic guitar I had. It has held up really well and it's still in good condition.

I recently bought a Taylor 150E 12-string acoustic and while the guitar came with one of the nicest gig bags I've ever seen, I just don't trust my guitars to gig bags. I've bought both models of the Gator hard case for 12-strings in the past and was not happy with either of them; the wooden one is too loose fitting and the ABS one the head stock area isn't deep enough for the head stock without it touching.

Well, I still had this Musician's Gear tweed case lying around and I tried put my new Taylor 12-string into my tweed case to see it would work. Lo and behold, that Taylor 150E fits in that case like a glove! The neck doesn't move one bit, and the head stock area of the case is both deep and long enough with room to spare!!! It may not be the best case out there, but it sure offers better protection for the guitar than the Taylor gig bag does!!!

If you have a Taylor 150E or any other 12-string dreadnought, give it a try!

Comments about Musician's Gear Deluxe Dreadnought Case:

I purchased a used instrument (f-hole archtop guitar) without a case, and needed to get one. I looked at perhaps 2 dozen available options. This one fit my needs (and the guitar) 100%, and came in by far at the lowest price. The only thing that would make me happier would be to find out it is American made by American workers.
