Good stand but my only suggestion is they design it to tilt back a bit more. Most people will find it completely adequate, but I have some situations where I need my amp just a couple feet from me, and pointed at my head. This just can't tilt back far enough. I have only used it with my Deluxe Reverb, but I'm sure it would be fine with a heavier amp. Generally speaking, tilt-back stands are great for keeping stage volume down and keeping that obnoxiously loud guitarist in check.

So it does hold your amp well...but there are sharp edges on the amp-arm hinge in back and sharp edges on the leg hinges that immediately tore the tolex on my practice amp. Good think i did not put my good tube amp on it! I was able to cover these offending edges with foam water pipe insulation, so i think it is functional...but I am def looking for something else!

Comments about Musician's Gear Deluxe Tripod Amp Stand:

when received the plastic collar was cracked during manufacturing instalation and would have proven to be to much down time and hastle to exchange .I thought it would be easier to send me another collar. apparently the shippers and the manufactures don't work together like that. But i kept it and would definately purchase another one and tell other people to do the same.. I will continue to buy from musician's friend

Comments about Musician's Gear Deluxe Tripod Amp Stand:

My old On Stage amp stand is so bulky and clumsy (but yes, works very well). It's just a major hassle. This new stand is adjustable in many ways, especially angling, and is solit and sturdy. And, it collapses to a very easy transportable size.

Comments about Musician's Gear Deluxe Tripod Amp Stand:

I got the stand for home use to hold my ARE Compact 60, which with the 3/8" adapter, mounts on the upright post. Stand is beefy enough to hold it securely and be stable. Smaller tube amp sets on lower bracket and adds to stability.

Comments about Musician's Gear Deluxe Tripod Amp Stand:

I was surprised at how solid this stand is, and it handled my heavy Mesa/Boogie combo without problems. I needed something to get the amp up off the ground for an outdoor show, and this did exactly that with no fussing or difficulty. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because I've only used it for a short while, so I can't speak to longevity.

Comments about Musician's Gear Deluxe Tripod Amp Stand:

This is and Excellent Stand. It may say Musician's Friend but it's actually made by "Onstage" stands. So it's well built and tough. This will hold just about anything up to a 2 x 12 combo amp. Also has the threads on top for attaching a boom and microphone. I'm totally happy with mine. At this price you can't go wrong here. Get your amp up off the floor today!

Comments about Musician's Gear Deluxe Tripod Amp Stand:

Very rugged, much more so than what the picture showed. Holds my Fender 212R Frontman no problem and it's a big combo amp. Angles back nicely to get the sound into the air where I can hear it, and has a cushion for the top part of the amp as well, and a place for a boom for a mike on the top post. Someone put a lot of thought into this.

              Good stand for the money

Comments about Musician's Gear Deluxe Tripod Amp Stand:

Good stand at a good price. Well designed.
I've used this stand on several gigs and it works great. My amp is light - only about 40 pounds - and this stand works fine. The height and angle adjustments are very well thought-out and allow a lot of choice in height and angle adjustments.
On the gig last night a small piece broke off while I was folding up the stand. I think I unscrewed the knob on the main shaft too far and the little piece that fits in the slot and presses against the shaft fell out. No big deal. I just put it back in. I have to be careful to only turn the know a bit so the piece doesn't slide out again. The stand, otherwise, is so good that if I lost this one I'd buy another.
As I mentioned, one piece seemed too easy to lose, but overall very good.
              Good value for the price.
