So basically, I bought this stand because I was tired of only having one of my guitars on a stand and letting the other one lean against a wall. I figured I'd save space and instead of buy another single stand I'd buy a double stand. If you are looking for a cheap stand that you don't have to worry about walking out of the room and having it tip over but don't want to spend a lot of money, this stand is perfect. It'd got a good sturdy construction and adjustable height. The only thing about the stand that I am not too fond of is that it stands your guitars pretty much straight up, and mine leans a little bit to one side, I'm not sure if it's supposed to do this or if it's just a slight defect in the one I got. Either way, it does it's job perfectly and I would highly recommend it to someone looking to get their guitars off the flood and in a safer place.

So far this stand has thrown 2 of my best guitars onto the floor--once onstage at my students recital and another time when another professional simply picked a guitar off of it in my studio. It's fine as long as you don't play guitar and want a display piece for guitars....but if you're going to be picking up and putting down guitars on this thing it's TERRIBLY unbalanced, especially since it's base is a tripod. When you pick one guitar up, the other guitar makes that side of the stand "tipsy". I wish I could be reimbursed by the manufacturer for what I've spent on repairs to my instruments. A stupid stupid design--I've been playing professionally for more than 20 years and have never owned a more terrible piece of gear.

Caution to others

Didn't have this very long, couple of gigs. Played at a street fair this morning, had my Peavey Wolfgang parked on one side of it when a lousy tack weld at the base of the upright piece broke, sending my Wolfgang to the pavement face first!! Now it's scratched, and I HATE scratches on my babies!!

DO NOT BUY!!

By SD-3caV6

Some have said these are fine if you're careful, don't believe it! I got one of these when they were the stupid deal of the day, and it's by far the worst stand I've seen. The angle the guitar is held is such that without the retainer ring on the guitar wants to lean forward and fall out of the stand when it's sitting level. You'd have as much luck protecting your guitar merely trying to balance it standing along on your floor. I didn't try it with a second guitar, as there was no need when it won't properly hold one without it trying to escape.

You get what you pay for

This stand would be perfect to keep in your home or studio as a permanent fixture. I have gigged out with this stand, and by the third gig it was broken. I wouldn't say it was mistreated either; we just put it in our "stands bag" with all the others...in this case, the price reflects the quality- just don't take it on gigs.

as long as your careful

As long as your careful with this your guitars will be fine. The top piece that keeps the guitars in line sits in the metal rod and is kept in place by a screw that's tightened up against it. Just screw that in really tight and you should be all set. I've owned this for a while and not once have I had a problem with it.

Be Very Careful

By Drummer Abe

from Huntingburg, In

I bought this stand using weak logic. Buy a good guitar, and a cheap stand. Our band needed a multiple guitar stand, so I picked this one up. However, the angle is not good, which makes the guitars stand upright. If you put an electric on the side that is not fully supported by the base, it tips over. Now, the thumbscrew at the top cannot be tightened enough to lock the top of the stand in, which allows the guitars to twist, and turn the stand over. My wife's base has already hit the floor, and luckily I caught it before my Les Paul and Strat hit the floor. If you have cheap guitars that you care nothing about, you can buy this stand. For the rest of us, stay away from this one!!

face plant

This stand has this inherent design flaw -- if you remove one guitar, it is overbalanced on the opposite side. I had two guitars on it, removed one, and the whole thing went over the other way, with my guitar going splat, face first, onto the floor. I will never use it again.

for people to lazy to smash their guitars

Do not buy the Musicians gear double guitar stand. It look like a good idea for saving space and money but it isnt. thank to the fact that it only has three legs it will ti over extreamly easily. If you remove one guitar the whole stand falls with the other ax hitting the floor head on.

Great Stand

By ilovebass2000

I play bass and the stand necka supporter things are not far apart from eachother enough for the log necked nasses to sit at an angle. I have to put them completely upright so they don't smack each other's headstocks. This is a great stand but its not portable at all. I would spend a few extra bucks and get a hercules. they rock.
