I bought this hoping it would work for my strat AND tele, and even others, but it ONLY fits the strat. I suppose there are a bunch of other gits that are in the strat shape all over the world that this might work for, but if you own a Les Paul or a Tele, look elsewhere. Other than that, a very good case: nifty looking, relatively strong, and light, though I bought it when it was twenty bucks less than it is now - and that wasn't that long ago. Just remembered that I fell on it once, luckily withOUT the strat in it. The top's structural integrity kind of collapsed: So though it still protects, it now no longer has the same foam stiffness that it had before the impact.
I got this for my Reverend Roundhouse, which is a Les Paul style guitar. It fit's snugly, but contrary to the previous poster, this type guitar will fit - but make sure to measure first [duh!]. I like the light weight, rigid structure,,fuzzy interior, and seemingly protective foam - I've dinged the case many times and my guitar was protected nicely. The internal storage zones are nice. I can fit two Boss pedals in one zone, and a Fulldrive Fulltone [a bigger pedal] + a couple of 9v adapters in the other zone. The things that bugg me? The zipper closure is kinda a drag, but it works fine - I'd rather have clasps. The outer pockets are not very durable, I carried a guitar stand in one, and it caused the pocket to rip - not designed for that, but hey! And the strap fastening system isn't very strong. I've replaced the D-rings with little carabiners from REI. And, lastly - the case has a hard time staying in the open position for loading/unloading the stuff you put in it.For the money, It's worthwhile.
I bought this case a couple of years ago. I really like it. The seam on the carry straps came loose a little while after I bought it, and the tab on the zippers have to be reattached every once in a while but for the price it's a great case and it's light weight. I have dropped my guitar more than once and we have loaded and unloaded time and again and my guitar is still undamaged.
Excellent case for the price, would recommend to anyone looking for a nice case for their axe.
I purchased this case, because I wanted something light and easy to carry. For the price this is a great deal. Its a lot stronger than I would have expected, and feels really solid. This case offers lots of protection, feather weight, and a consumers price! Get one, you won't regret it.
There isn't much to say other than this is the best case I own. It's a steal for the price. I have my Jackson DK2 in it and the fit is great. Any strat-style guitar should fit into this case...
Light and strong, protects better than Gig bags. I have two guitars MMSub and a Ibanez holds both securly. The shock foam aborbs any dings while setting up. And did I say it's light "Big Plus with a Heavy Axe"
They're light, tough, and easier to handle than standard HSCs. No problems with these.Thet travel great, and keep my babies safe.
This is a great case. Very well made. Beware that Les Paul style guitars will not fit in this case. The headstock angles down too far so the neck does not fit flat in the cradle.
Oh, how I only wish they had these cases 10 years ago. Maybe they did, and I just never gave them a chance. Anyway, if I need a case for one of my guitars, these are the ones I will buy from now on. I thought I didn't have my guitar in the case when I first tried the case out. They are that light. Amazing protection for the price. Thanks MF.
This case is just as good as a standard case!
This is the second one I've owned; the first being sold with the guitar. I ordered two other brands of hard cases and sent them both back for refund. I then ordered my new one. These are great cases! The G&L S500 (strat type) fits securely, and the extra internal storage seals tight when the case is closed, preventing things from flying around and damaging the guitar. (Don't laugh, that's exactly what happened with the other two cases I returned.) The side pouches are plenty wide and deep enough for extra cables, strings, axe-tools, sheet music, etc. There's also plenty of storage space inside the case too for pedals, tuners, etc. The case is solid all around, and it won't ding up your other equipment from a bumpy ride or rough handling. It's an inexpensive solution to protecting and carrying that sweet Strat to practice and gigs.
It's a great case. I carry the love of my life in it, a Carvin Bolt. I sold the SKB case that came with the Carvin. This case is light and strong. The zippered closures haven't given me the slightest problem. As soon as I finish writing this I'm ordering another one for a guitar I just built. It should be very happy in there.
Have one for Strat and one for flat-top. Love them both. Light with sturdy handles and straps. Easy to wipe clean if need be.
I own this case. I am in love with it. Personally I feel that the standard gig bag is not enough protection for my favorite axe. I wanted the protection of a HSC and the light weight of a gig bag. This case was the solution to my prayers. If you feel like I do then look no further you have found it. Buy it you will not be disappointed.
These cases are great for basic transportation and/or storage. I own three and just love the light weight. They fit Strats perfectly. I wouldn't throw these in the back of an equipment truck, but for hand-carrying to the gig you can't beat 'em!
I put my Strat into this as soon as it was delivered, and wow, it fits perfectly. The storage compartments are awesome- the only problem I've ever had with cases is having to carry another bag around with me, but I can already see I'm not going to have that problem here. Kudos on an awesome case!
It is a good gig bag. Good throughout.
