I ordered this case for my Ephiphone MM50 f-style mandolin. I had read one review from someone that said they didn't think this case would fit an f-style.....boy they were wrong, it fits it perfectly, and I don't think you could get a better case paying 3 or 4 times as much....Thank you Musicians Friend for helping us in a struggling economy.

This works OK but not great. I bought it to have a place to quickly put my Eastman 515 when I left my seat at a session. Unless the strap is removed and set aside, the case is very tight and even then I have to force the snaps closed. I fear it might strain the top and neck. As a result, the Eastman's original zipper case turns out to be the faster solution and, ironically, I would use that for the Weber Fern too.

This mandolin case does not fit an a-style mandolin. The inside is very hard and the lid does not close on the instrument.

Comments about Musician's Gear Economy Mandolin Case for A and F Mandolins:

I ordered 2 other case from 2 other places, and Epiphone (broken hinge) and a Fender with a bad latch
This one seems that it will last a long time for me. I juster wanted a case to protect it in theses times that I do go out. And to enhance resale value. I use it for a Gretsch New Yorker A-style. It slides only about 5/8 inch.

Comments about Musician's Gear Economy Mandolin Case for A and F Mandolins:

I bought this case for an Ibanez 510 A style that I purchased. It is pretty nice. The key locks work fine and the handle feels strong, I think it will last.Although it looks good, it didn't quite fit my mandolin, the pick guard didn't go in there snugly and only when I tilted my mandolin a little it clamped down. All in all, it's decent enouph depending on what kind of mandolin you have, I don't think an f style will fit it though.

Comments about Musician's Gear Economy Mandolin Case for A and F Mandolins:

Very impressed. Just what I wanted at a price I could afford. Received the case in just 2 working days, ordered on Saturday, by phone, received on Tuesday. The fit was a little tight at first but my mandolin fit in just right. Case is lightweight but seems very sturdy.

        Good Value For Money

        By Roger Ennis

Comments about Musician's Gear Economy Mandolin Case for A and F Mandolins:

They work fine for my needs.
The cases easily accommodate either an A-stye or an F-style mandolin. They provide adequate locking security and cushioning.
Hardshell plastic, good alignment of top and bottom, and 3 clasps. I'll buy these for all future instruments I make.
Not the cheapest, nor the most expensive.

Comments about Musician's Gear Economy Mandolin Case for A and F Mandolins:

I checked all over the net for a good quality mandolin that would protect my Ibanez M522 F Style mandolin while transporting from point A to point B safely and get it there in one piece. It fit like a glove with no modifications necessary. As if it were custom made for my mandolin. Musicians Friend beat all the music sites on the price here.

Comments about Musician's Gear Economy Mandolin Case for A and F Mandolins:

I got this for The Loar LM-520-VS and it fits great. The plastic seems like it will stand up to some major abuse. I feel like I could (but won't) step on it and probably wouldn't hurt the case or its contents. I am happy with the price and the quality. It reminds me of the old SKB Taylor Guitar cases.

I do have a few minor complaints. It's ugly plastic. I knew this before getting it, but just realize it's just black plastic. It also doesn't seem like it is as air tight as my Taylor case. I live in the dry southwest and low humidity is a problem. That means keeping the humidity in the case will be more of a problem. I didn't have high hopes to begin with, so take that for what it's worth. The biggest annoyance is the inability to carry music. Even in a hard shell guitar case you can put a few sheets under the guitar. You obviously can't with a mandolin. Im not sure what a sleeve would be like on this case. The storage in the case is fairly limited as well. It holds a tuner and a cheap strap and that is about it.

Again, these are minor complaints. I'm happy with the case and I would get it again, especially looking at the alternatives.
