Comments about Musician's Gear Featherweight Baritone Ukulele Case:

I was looking for a better case than the included gig bag from Yamaha that fits their GL-1. This case is it. Lightweight yet sturdy and with 2 straps that make it easily into a backpack case. the GL-1 is a little smaller than the baritone uke the case is made for but with the cloth I use to wipe it down rolled into the gap above the headstock, it's a perfect fit, no movement. The outside pockets hold small accessories and strings nicely. I wouldn't put it in airline baggage but I've seen full size guitars in the cabin lockers so you should be able to carry it on.
My only con is that, in the construction of the case some of the interior felt was removed and not replaced. It's small and in an area the GL-1 doesn't touch it.

The case fits my vintage baritone perfectly. I think it will give good protection for everyday use, but I wouldn't check it into airline bagage.

Comments about Musician's Gear Featherweight Baritone Ukulele Case:

Lightweight but sturdy enough for road trips. You could throw it in the trunk or back seat of your car or do a carry-on on a plane. Don't know if I'd trust it as a checked bag. Probably wouldn't protect your uke from being run over by a baggage cart. Will protect your uke from normal banging around going to and from gigs.

Comments about Musician's Gear Featherweight Baritone Ukulele Case:

I bought the baritone case, because the Ovation Tenor Uke that we bought our daughter, didn't fit in the cases made for the tenors. It fits in this case perfectly!

Not bad for the money. You cant run over it with your car but when it fell out of the car it was fine. I can see how it would wear out in a few years but for the money I am very happy and it fits the Applause tenor uke!

What a great value. This is the third one I have purchased. It's lightweight, but protective and sturdy. I use it for general carting around and airline travel. Convenient carry straps and storage. You cannot beat this product, especially at this price.

Musician's Gear Featherweight Baritone Ukulele Case Fantastic Value

          By George Hostler

          from New Mexico

Comments about Musician's Gear Featherweight Baritone Ukulele Case:

This case fits my baritone ukulele perfectly. I was impressed with the overall fit and finish of the case. The velvety interior was impressively soft and the nylon exterior and hard foam body is similar to modern woodwind band instrument cases. Zipper system is good and solid, I prefer it for travel as I have had uke case buckles come loose before, dumping the contents.

It is light to tote but appears sturdy enough to take a lot of hard knocks and yet protect the uke. It has a small compartment inside under the uke neck large enough that it held my older Yamaha TD-1 Chromatic Tuner with case, with enough room for other small accessories. (The TD-1 is about the size of an audio cassette.)

On the exterior it has two medium pockets back to back both zippered. These have sufficient storage for small song books, extra strings, electric cables, portable headphones etc. It comes with 2 straps with good solid metal clips and shoulder pad for carrying. If both straps are used together, will allow the case to be carried as a backpack. This is a good all around travel case, I am really pleased with it.

          Bad zippers & odd design

          By UkeMaestro

          from New York City

Comments about Musician's Gear Featherweight Baritone Ukulele Case:

The case seems fairly durable, but the construction is a little shoddy: there's exposed glue on the interior, and one of the zippers keeps getting stuck. The design is weird, too: because of the contoured shape you have to unzip it all the way around for the case to open. This is in contrast to the foam cases that have straight sides, where one whole side is a hinge, and the zipper only extends from around the top to around the base. That design seems both more secure, and less of a hassle to open and close. Also the case is generously sized -- it's got a bit too much room around my Favila Bari (19" scale, 29" overall length).

This is my favorite ukulele case.

          By Nate-d6dCS

          from Minneapolis, MN

Comments about Musician's Gear Featherweight Baritone Ukulele Case:

I ordered this case in June, 2006 for my concert ukulele and it's been wonderful for me. The front two pockets fit my camp songbook perfectly and have room enough for my coiled 10' amplifier cable. The optional backpack straps are nice but I tend to wear an actual backpack and don't use them. The only complaint I'd have is one of the zipper heads came off almost right away, but the case is dual-zippered and the second has worked well. I've taken this case on camping trips, on the airplane, and a home move, and it holds up. Do yourself a favor and snag this case at this steal of a price!
