Strong wall - aluminum slatwall rail with right or left facing hangers.
The Musician's Gear Guitar Hanging System uses a slatwall, made of solid aluminum to display even heavy guitars and basses. The extruded aluminum design gives extra durability and mounts over any existing wall (i.e., block, brick, wall stud, etc.)
The hangers allow you to change your display by changing the direction the instrument faces. They also allow you to show as much of the front of the instrument as space allows. The arm is 7" long with a 2" swing arm for the yoke. Yoke pivots to cradle instrument's headstock.
Mounting hardware not included, and the slatwall needs to be drilled to match your wall stud spacing.

I have had 3 wall rack systems and this is the only one that gives you all the parts as and is an all metal construction. I cut my track to 60 inches and used all 8 brackets and this is stable as a rock. you really need to find the wall beams and use toggle bolts where you can't. The only problem is it does not have instructions as it is meant to be used by a pro installer of store display systems.

If you are considering hanging several thousands of dollars worth of guitars from your wall, you should be very selective of the solution you choose. If you're like me, some of the instruments you own are simply irreplaceable. I purchased the eight guitar system because it appeared to be well constructed and because I could trust it to support some of my favorite possessions. It definitely fits the bill in that respect. It's well made, and could easily support more guitars if it had to. In this case, a little over-engineering provides peace of mind. So why is my overall rating so low? There is NO mounting hardware or instructions included with the product. According to the manufacturer the mounting hardware and instructions are no longer included. Fortunately, I'm handy enough to make due without them. I would NOT recommend this project to someone that is uncomfortable with drilling holes into a freshly painted piece of aluminum that you just bought. Some tips:
Use appropriate screws for your application.Make sure you get support out near the edges of the rail, or it will twist.While studs are normally 16" on center, be sure you locate each of them before drilling your pilot holes.IMPORTANT: Examine the rail closely. You will see there is more aluminum used on one side than the other. The side with the extra aluminum goes on TOP. While I did not have to learn this the hard way, it would have been an easy mistake to make. It also would have been nice if there were instructions to inform me of this.
Overall, I'm still a little peeved about the lack of mounting hardware and instructions, but I do believe that the rail and hangers are good quality.
Hangers lock into place to prevent sliding and provide fully adjustable display angle.
Nothing cheap about the construction. I would trust each hanger to support at least 20 pounds when the rail is properly mounted.
The value of the product has improved since the price drop. There aren't many options to choose from when looking for a guitar hanging system. You get what you pay for, and the quality of this product justifies the cost.
