I have one 6' that I was using for a recording vocal mic before I bought a mogami and a core X2, and let me tell you. That Musicians Gear 6 footer never gave me any issues and stands up well to other big brands. Not a monster or mogami, but you cant beat the price. Then quite a while back when they were a stupid deal of the day, I bought around 8 of them to use for the mics on my drumset because I had bought some cheapo ones on ebay before and half of them had crapped out. I've been using the ones I bought here now for over a year at least and not A SINGLE ONE has died on me. The noise is low, the ends are an EXACT copy of the neutrik ones that the more expensive brands use. I lined them up with some neutrik ones I had. Anyhow, I will be returning to buy more of these in the future for other applications. MIND YOU THAT THE CHEAPER MUSICIANS GEAR ONES WITH THE CHEAPER ENDS ARE IN FACT JUNK AND I HAVE HAD QUITE A FEW OF THOSE DIE ONE ME!

Sometimes our band members buy brand name products and sometimes not- depending on the quality. In this case, we should have chosen something else. These cables worked fine right out of the box, but our band plays out at least 4 times a month and the quality just isn't there, even for that minimal use. We started out with 20 XLRs and after a month or two, we are down to like 1/2 dozen. The main problem is THE CONNECTORS and/or the sodder connection of the wire to the connector. It is very easily broken. So, unless you're using these things at home, and very gently I might add... you should probably be looking at something with heavy duty connectors and maybe with a warranty involved- like Monster or Mogami or maybe Anything else. Please don't rely on these things if you have people depending on you to perform. You may get yourself into a bad situation!

Not Even If They Were Free

By CurtisG

Bought the ten pack a year ago. These cables are junk. I wouldn't take these cables if they gave them away for free. They would just make my garbage can fill up faster.

Disappointed

By Tim-zeL4Q

from Fremont, NE

Bought 2 15 ft cables for our Youth Worship Team. These do not get much abuses, as they are used 2x per week and stay plugged in most of the time. Both cords failed within 9 months. Since there seems to be no warranty, we cannot return them. At the same time I bought 3 Horizon cables that were more expensive and used for exactly the same purposes. All 3 Horizon cables are still working.

Poor Quality Item

I purchased a few of these to mic my drums because I couldn't resist the price. Now 2 of them have crapped out on me, 1 right in the middle of a gig. Not road worthy. Spend the extra money on the Mogami or Monster if your serious about your music.

Think Short Term

I bought a 4 of these 2 years ago. I still have 2. One has a Crack in the plastic on the connector on the female end. These things are made very cheap the XLR part actually comes out of the Metal Casing. If you want a good mic cable get a High Quality Name Brand. I have 3 CBI XLR with Neutrick connectors I have had one for almost 4 year still in perfect condition I don't know which of the 3 it is because they are all in the same condition as the one I got a year ago, Get something Good, God Bless

Got some use out of it, but...

I used this cable for around two years, and then it broke. At the time, I wanted something cheap, because I thought all cables are essentially the same. But if I knew it was going to break, I would've just got some better quality cables to begin with.

I bought 3 of these cables and 2 failed within 6 months. Do not realize the the value of quality cables when these fail you onstage.

As you would expect for the price, these cables don't last too long in my experience.

Not good for live

By VISJzChED

from Aiken, SC

I bought 2 12 foot ones for my karaoke set up. They worked great for about 3 weeks, after that, they crap out. However, I did get one of 6 foot cables for my DJ mic and it works great, but that mic doesn't move all night. In end I've having to spend even more money to get good cables.
