Great Little Stand For Voice Overs!

I needed a stand I could set on my desk for doing voice overs for video. This stand is perfect for that. It holds a large diaphram mic with ease.

I was looking for an inexpensive stand of this sort for the live sound work I sometimes do. Planned use was for miking amps and items like a cajon. While not a "great" stand, it is definitely a "very good" stand - especially factoring in the cost. It works well for my purposes. Time will tell on the clutch mechanism. For now, I pleased with the purchase.

Comments about Musician's Gear Low Profile Die-Cast Mic Stand:

I use this for my Bass Drum mic, and it works great - no compliants. The only issue you may have, is distance to the bass drum. With the outer ring on the bass drum, the closest you can get the mic is 1" - 2" from the head. That works okay for my rig, but if you like it closer, better get a short boom stand.

Although this stand would be best for microphone uses, I use if with a small spot monitor during performances when I am sitting in a chair.

Comments about Musician's Gear Low Profile Die-Cast Mic Stand:

Bought two of these stands. Sturdy everything as advertised except did not include the cable clips as pictured. Minor issue. Guess I'm bothered more since I inquired a couple times and heard nothing back.
      Bottom line:
Great for a kick drum or a combo amp on the floor.

Comments about Musician's Gear Low Profile Die-Cast Mic Stand:

These are excellent little stands. Does the job perfectly. Stable. Adjustable. I use mine with a 13" flexible goose neck and the options are at least tripled.

If you're looking for an inexpensive sturdy little mic stand, this is the one.

Comments about Musician's Gear Low Profile Die-Cast Mic Stand:

I must concur will all the other reviewers. This a a great stand at an excellent price. The height is perfect for miking mid-sized combo amps. or bass drums.

The weighted base combined with the short hieght make it amost impossible to knock over

It is very finely threaded so care should be taken when first assembling it and it is recommended that you leave it assembled. This shouldn't be a problem when taking it on the road as it is so compact that it won't take up much space when loading out after a gig.

You can spend substantially more money but won't get anything better.
I use this stand for my Bass Drum. It's perfect! It adjusts to the height I need. Has a Mic Chord Clip to guard against cord damage. For something this small it has nice weight.
                Great over-all Quality.
                It's 11 bucks. Nuf said!
