I have a couple of generic cases for my Les Pauls, and this one fit as snugly and properly as the original Gibson HSC. An excellent choice for keeping your personal collection safely enclosed at home. Would probably handle light transporting needs, but not exactly a touring case. Perfect for home use and storage of your Gibson.

My wife ordered me this case for my gibson Les Paul.when I put the guitar in the case it fit, but in the same way the les paul would fit in an acoustic case, very loose. There was about 2 inches of play left and right before it even touched the padding. The cup that hold the neck is also grossly oversized. When I closed the case and pick it up with the guitar In it, with some gently shaking the headstock was smacking back and forth in the case. Absolutely not ok for me. This is little more than a rectangular universal case, just shaped to look more fitted. The padding was also already peeling away on the inside, very cheaply made. If you have a les paul and dont want it damaged this is not the case for you. I have returned the case and ordered a better one.

Comments about Musician's Gear MC22LP Deluxe Hardshell Case:

I am a long time self taught guitar/ piano player and I have been writing songs for more than 20 years. I am still learning different music styles and deep music theory on guitar and piano though and I have 40 guitars and keeping them protected is important but having to spend a fortune on a case is not ideal to me so these cases are the best I have found as are your air worthy cases that I use when traveling. And the prices are why I have bought 11 from you now.

Comments about Musician's Gear MC22LP Deluxe Hardshell Case:

I purchased this case as recommended by a Musician's Friend staff person, who I can only assume hates Les Paul guitars. The case has s stress fracture after one trip. One end of the handle gave up the FOURTH time it was picked up. These cases are BS. Don't buy one. If someone gives you one, give it back! I gave it one star, because that was the least allowed. There should be a minus category for garbage like this case.

For the price, I was not expecting much, but it really is a nice case. It fits my Epi Les Paul just fine, and looks good to boot. Thank you MF!

Comments about Musician's Gear MC22LP Deluxe Hardshell Case:

Let's face it, these are budget cases - you buy it because of the price. I bought one of these a couple of years ago and at that time they were quite snug on a Gibson Les Paul, so snug that an Epiphone would not fit (the headstock is a little longer). Just got another one and the good news there is plenty of room to fit Epiphones (or other brands). The downside is it is a bit loose on a Gibson Les Paul. IMO, easy enough to add a towel or similar to get a more snug fit. I think the extra room is an improvement.

Comments about Musician's Gear MC22LP Deluxe Hardshell Case:

This case is just what I needed to store my Epiphone Les Paul. I did on-line chat with Zachary and he promised it would fit and it did. Very helpful. I would not stack a bunch of weight on it, but I don't ever do that anyway. Latches all work good. Considering what it cost, I am very satisfied.

Comments about Musician's Gear MC22LP Deluxe Hardshell Case:

Bought this for my LTD EC-400. I was a little worried it would not fit as most reviews specifically mention Les Pauls, but the description stated it would fit Eclipse series guitars so I took a chance.

Overall the case works great. Definitely not for heavy touring, but for lugging it to practice or taking to an occasional local gig it works perfectly fine. Nice that it locks as well. It's a bit deep for the EC, and the body seems to sit a bit lower in the case than it should, but it doesn't seem to present any problems, and it's obviously designed to fit the thicker Les Paul. Throw a cloth or a folded t-shirt in there as a buffer and it'll work fine. Definitely worth the money.
