Well, these do work, better than most cables that do not cost a mint, do not really hear any noise or sound issues with them, but... for some reason maybe the price and they probably make 10,000 of them at a time in China, ALL the poles are crooked!! Some slightly off straight to pretty bad. You want your pedals in a nice straight connection, nope, they look crooked because the plugs are all mounted crooked on the base, other than this cosmetic problem, they work great and the gold is great especially if you leave them plugged in and do not wear the plating off. I guess for the money you get what you pay for, also the height differential is not enough for quite a few pedals to mate.

In most cases a straight coupler will work but there are those certain cases where an offset is needed. It helpful to keep a couple of these around just in case. The quality is great.

Comments about Musician's Gear Offset Effect Pedal Coupler:

    So.. another tough one..

Overall, I think it's a flawed product with limited utility. This isn't because of any real flaws in the product.. but rather because the things it's going to couple aren't up to the same standards.
I have to rate it down because the average user will probably have issues with these.

Now.. here's the other side to this...

I don't have a pedal board. I really need to make one though so that may change some day.
IF I HAD A PEDAL BOARD I might be inclined to loosen the retaining nuts on my pedal jacks. With the off-set design, you could fasten down your pedals so they don't move on your board and you'd then just need a bit of play in the pedal jacks to get them to play nice with the coupler. Alternately, I've considered drilling or grinding out the jack holes in the pedal cases to give them some play.
There is a big downside to this of course.. it's very possible you've got one or all of your 1/4" jacks soldered to the effect PCB so there may be little to no play in them. And, of course, life can be busy.. I have about 50 things better to do at any given time (I really should be working now ;-) but everyone needs a break now and again).

Bottom line.. If you're willing to fight with your effects to make these work and you think you can.. I'd recommend them over patch cables. They'll last forever.
If you can't/won't.. don't buy them. There's a good chance you'll be dissapointed.
I'm writing another review. I purchased some of these a couple/few years back and rated them pretty high.. but my opinion of their usefulness has gone down since.

It's hard to rate "features" on something as simple as this. The only feature is.. two 1/4" plugs.

From a usefulness PoV I've got to rank them as pretty mediocre.
It's a great idea. I rugged, solid way to connect your pedals. The design seems well thought out, with the ability to line up pedals that have different height connectors. Of course, you have no control over the spacing of the pedals but the width of the body gives you enough space between pedals unless Clown shoes are part of your stage persona.

Here's the problem.. Even brand name, quality pedals, don't have the quality control to effectively use this in many cases. The off-set design allow you to twist it to mate up jacks of different heights.. or to adjust adjacent pedals front to back from each other.
However.. this all assumes the jacks are actually in plane to the BOTTOM of the pedal.

Funny thing.. vendors care about making a pretty hefty slug of metal so stomp boxes don't break. A nice solid pedal makes us think it's quality too.
They don't care about engineering the box so the jacks are perfectly horizontal to the plane of the floor.
When the jacks aren't in the right plane.. say the slope up or down a bit as they go into the pedal body.. then the coupler doesn't allow the adjacent pedals to sit flat. The jack is, to their credit, dead straight. If the pedal jacks aren't, you have a problem.
    The quality is actually excellent.
It's as solid as a block of steel. It's gold plated. The finish is excellent and uniform. It's dead straight.. that is although the plugs are off-set, they're parallel to each other.

Of course, that's the problem. It's too good to cope with the flaws in most effects pedals. I really wish I could just use these.. but I'm ordering three 6" patch cables today instead. :-(
This is tough. Considering the cost of small patch cables and the build quality of the coupler.. I think it's a steal.
Unfortunately, as I've harped on.. it doesn't always work well.

I'll give it a 10 for cost versus quality.
I couldn't if I judge value on actual utility so take this with a grain of salt.

If you think you can work around the problems with alignment.. buy these.

Comments about Musician's Gear Offset Effect Pedal Coupler:

I've had good luck using this between different pedals. Boss to Electro Harmonix to Devi Ever to Dunlop (wah) to Hardwire; it's worked just fine for me. I did get one out of 4 that was bent, but even that one is serviceable.

This little piece is just what I needed to conserve space on my pedalboard. Awesome! Beware though, they do not work between every coupling of pedals.

Comments about Musician's Gear Offset Effect Pedal Coupler:

    I would buy it again.
It fits if the pedals are similar position and height. Its much more flexible than a straight coupler and it certainly makes your board look tidy. It creates just over an inch of space between the pedals. I haven't examined the sound quality in depth but my stuff works.

Comments about Musician's Gear Offset Effect Pedal Coupler:

If you use a chain of several effects boxes that will not allow a straight connection from output to input, these little coupler allow connections with jacks that are slightly offset. These eliminates hard bent cords and allows effects to be mounted closer together, saving room on the pedalboard. These also make the pedalboard look more professional. The price is right and the couplers are durable. Fve stars!!!
