I got this 10 pack to mic up a 7-piece drum kit for recording. I use all 10 and I've found they are great stands, especially at the price each. I'm easy on things, though, and know how to set a stand up. The reach, balance, weight, etc, are just right for micing the drums, and I've found they do not droop or anything - just tighten things a bit beyond "finger tight" and you're fine, and you can even make quick adjustments with the the stand staying firm. I also have a single "Euroboom" from OnStage, and this MG stand is virtually identical, no better or worse. If the EB is good enough at twice the price, the MG should be as well.

Bought the 10 pack for drum recording and after 5 sessions, I was taking off my AKG C414 B-XLS that I was using for overhead and folding the boom arm section of the stand and it broke off from the threaded protion. I stood there in shock thanking that my C414 wasn't still attached cuz I would've had a huge fit. Not the best stands to handle alot of movement. Will be looking for some On-Stage or ProLine stands

I did an entire setup with all of these (since I had to be setup in two places at the same time) and they worked great! The boom clutches even held my large diaphragm condensers without sagging.

Comments about Musician's Gear Tripod Mic Stand with Fixed Boom 10-Pack:
Great bargain for a 10-pack. The only problem I've ever had with them is the plastic clamp that tightens the grip on the upper shaft is weak and some have snapped making them nonfunctional.
Comments about Musician's Gear Tripod Mic Stand with Fixed Boom 10-Pack:
For 10 stands you just can't beat this price. I own a rehearsal studio and these stands work well for my business. They're not that sturdy, and if you're hard on them they will eventually break. Would not recommend for use on the road. However, if you have a need for a bunch of stands in a studio environment, these work great and get the job done.

Grea
Tried these out instead of the On-Stage brand I usually purchase for use at the three venues I manage, and I was very pleasantly satisfied with them. Exact same quality, sturdiness, & more of them for less money than the On-Stage stands!!

Time will tell how they will hold up. If you get 2 or 3 years use out of them, you haven't wasted your money, especially if they are on sale!
Callapsable for storage/transportation. Extendable Boom that pivots and tightens.
Good enough that I came back for a second order when I realized our Church could benafit from them. Probably not a good item for singers who like to swing the mic and stand around on stage when performing. Not a bad choice if you intend to use for studio work.
I came back for more when I thought the Church could banafit from them!
Comments about Musician's Gear Tripod Mic Stand with Fixed Boom 10-Pack:
For the price, they work. Sometimes the screw/clutches slip, the rods aren't perfectly straight, one of the 10 has some 'off threading', yet they work. the quickest easiest way to get lots of stands for studio of band. Other review said ' the same quality as on -stage', i would say these are just a little less quality than the equivalent 'On-Stage' stands. I have both. So you get what you pay for, they work, just not great.
They stand up, they are not feature rich
Low quality but work
Value is benefit over cost: These are cheap but work, so B/$=7

Comments about Musician's Gear Tripod Mic Stand with Fixed Boom 10-Pack:
great for the price,, when assembly keep in mind its not Atlas brand,, handle with care,,
and it will last you a long time,,, i done live sound with differen types of performers,, with many styles of music,,, glue the rubber tabs on the bottom, and use a quality mic clip that you dont have to remove every so often ,, when gig is over and done,, fold up and put in case ,, that will help keep them from damages... bottom line, price is good, quality is there,, and handle with care,, these will last a long time...ive own many stands and used higher priced that have broke with just normal use,,, these will get the job done ,, remember to just hand tighten ,,,

Im a sound man with a pro rig went on a whim and bought these about 5 or 6 years ago still have 9 of them ran over one of them with the truck and only the boom popped off after years of set up and tear down and im not easy on them they still perform like new never had a problem with them im almost positive they are made by onstage stands because thats what Ive always used and the quality is the same and they look identical. i cover festivals and big regional bands
