I bought this stand cuase its cheap. It fell apart within the first couple weeks. But me, not having any money I fixed it up with someduck tape. sometimes it tips over and wrecks my mics, which pisses me off but other then that i like it. I've grown to love it.
This is absolutely the worst experience i've ever had with a mic stand. I could weld it together and still it wouldn't stand up! A paper plate could hold a mic better whatever you do dont buy this piece of junk!! worst buy ever
I bought 5, THey work OK as long as you put some thought into standing them up and nobody knocks it. Dont expect to be able to put the mic too high or too far out off the boom. The trunk will bend on ya, and they are, well, a $** stand. My opinion, I wont buy any more. Spend a bit more and get a stand made by Ultra.
Honestly, this is the best value you will find anywhere on a mic stand. It doesn't wobble, it grips the ground well, and all the screws and joints hold tightly. And the price? Really low for such a quality piece of equipment.
This is the best quality-for-dollar mic stand that I have seen to date. Sure, when you take it out of the box, the stand feels greasy and smells of graphite, and a clip is not included -- but this stand is adjustable and steady enough for a standard mic. Do not use the boom fully extended with a heavy condenser mic.I am extremely happy with this item. Locally mic stands of slightly better quality run for more than twice this price! Buy a few of the MST-5B!
This is really a bad mic stand. The set screw that is supposed to hold the boom arm secure will not tighten enough to do it. The lever that lets the boom swivel fell out. The piece that the mic adapter screws onto is not secure and it twists with the adapter so you can't tighten it.
Well, it works very well as a mic stand. of course, the thing about it is that i had to buy a mic holder (did not come with) Also, it isn't very sturdy. after a while it gets easy to knock over, i barely bump into it and it gets knocked over. but it is still a great mic stand w/ boom stick for a very cheap price, still works great!
