OVERVIEW

A pro-quality universal stand.

This is the strongest A-Frame by On Stage Stands featuring heavy-duty square tubing, velveteen rubber and a uni-construction design, meaning that there are no parts to lose. This extremely versatile A-frame can fold flat for travel as well as nest together with other stands for storage, plus it can be used to hold various small amps and mixers.

This A-frame guitar stand has a 10-degree tilt back angle and a splayed footprint which makes for a stable foundation. The velveteen rubber pad won't damage the finish of your equipment. The patented stepped yoke holds both acoustic and electric guitars as well as desktop mixers and combo amps, so there is no longer a need to own multiple stands when this one can hold all of them!

I've been using the taller stands for my guitars, but was worrying about the added strain that they might put on the neck, particularly on my cuatro and 12-strings. Then my wife brought home a new cat, which proceeded to tip over most of the stands, with the instruments in them! These, with their shallower angle and broad, 4-point 'footprint', have proved impossible for the wretched beast to upset, and I now use them for all my guitars and banjos, and the cuatro. Good design! (I wish they made one sized for smaller instruments, like mandolins, vihuelas and charangos.)

The stand functions perfectly; I have another exactly like it --- HOWEVER...I am returning the latest one that I purchased in March of '08, because the material they're now using for the 'rubber' feet gives off a strong, noxious smell like gasoline or turpentine.I can?t live in the same room with the stand?yes, it?s that intense. After about 42 days of trying to get used to it, the smell has NOT dissipated at all, so back she goes.

Bang for the buck

Comments about On-Stage Stands A-Frame Guitar Stand:

I've owned numerous guitar stands and I do agree with some of what the previous reviews have to say. The angle is a bit much and there is a lot of exposed metal but it's very sturdy and contemporary looking. Not to mention, I bought it at an excellent price. For the cost, this is an excellent product.

A-Frame Guitar Stand

Comments about On-Stage Stands A-Frame Guitar Stand:

I've been playing guitar for about 5 years and i must say this is the best stand i've used. It puts no stress on your neck, so it doesn't bend and is small and very easy to take with you on your travels with your guitar.

Comments about On-Stage Stands A-Frame Guitar Stand:

You can buy cheaper stands for less than half the price of this, but you won't find a better quality or struder thand than this on-stage stand. I wanted a sturdy one-piece stand that easlit folds up when not in use and this is it. Don't waste your time or money on generic brands, this is the only stand should invest in.

Stand review

Comments about On-Stage Stands A-Frame Guitar Stand:

It's a good stand, don't get me wrong, but what I don't like about it is that your guitar doesn't stand up straight enough. Your guitar is tilted pretty far backward and this doesn't help if you're looking to put it in a small space. So, other than that, if how far back the guitar leans doesn't matter to you, it's a good, solid stand.

very solid stand

Comments about On-Stage Stands A-Frame Guitar Stand:

holds my Ibanez a/e bass real snug. works well with a lot of guitars, acoustic and electric, but i bought a Washburn electric bass and you have to unplug in order to use the stand with it(width of the arms match up perfectly with the cable jack, and slanted bottom has to be placed just so, without the cord, to rest right). for the price you can't go wrong. very sturdy!

for this price...you can still go wrong

Comments about On-Stage Stands A-Frame Guitar Stand:

the stand itself isn't that bad, except it holds the guitar at about 30 degrees past vertical, instead of about 15 like my other stands. with my 7 string it only takes an average nudge and it falls over backwards. Spend a little more and get a better stand.
