Item was shipped the day I purchased it and arrived at my door two days later.

It does come in two boxes within one large box as it is two separate items sold as a set.

I can't imagine what went on with the people that has issues with assembly as you could have done it without instructions in a couple of minutes. Everything is color coded. Simply match the bottom legs with the green stickers to the bottom foot with the green stickers and the red ones with the red ones. Then do the same for the top with the purple and yellow. There are a total of 8 hex bolts to install with the included allen wrench which should take about 15 seconds each to tighten and you're done with the bottom stand.

The top stand is even easier. Pop off the end covers from the back of the bottom stand and slide the top stand into the openings and tighten the hand knobs and you're done.

As far as the price and quality goes. It's not fair to say you get what you pay for because for the price this is pretty well constructed. It will travel well and take everyday handling. Treat it like any other piece of musical equipment and it will last a lifetime.

That being said, it is not a touring professional piece of equipment so don't expect it to be one. It will wobble. It collapses quick and easy and is light weight enough for travel.

The top tier adjusts automatically as you adjust the height of the bottom tier which is nice.

The draw back to the second tier as others have stated is that it is too close to the bottom tier. If they made the top tier able to slide up to separate the space between boards then this would be 5 stars. Also if the top tier had the ability to be narrowed when the bottom tier is at its lowest that would be a huge plus. The gap is too wide for a small MIDI or PC without using a shelving board. Adding a board allows room for MIDI, PC, a light and speakers :)

All in all for the price, the bottom tier alone is well worth it. The top tier is a bonus in my opinion and is perfect for a mid to full size keyboard or with a shelving board any combination of smaller items.

I'm not quite sure what's "deluxe" about this stand. It has been a while since I've had to buy a keyboard stand, and I was surprised that I had to assemble this myself. The whole stand, not just the second tier. It is made to very loose tolerances, and what I have is a wobbly flimsy stand. It will do for now in my home studio, but I would never expect to gig with this. At end of the day, it holds my gear. Not very well or securely, but it will do. Just.

Good for the money. Very stable. Top tier needs to be more adjustable. But, a good value just the same.

Comments about On-Stage Stands Deluxe X 2-Tier Keyboard Stand:

It can be easily folded by simply taking out the cross-bar and aligning the second tier. Makes for a bulky item, but easier than reconstructing. I do believe the stand is pretty sturdy. To improve it would be nice to be able to adjust the second tier height. Excellent for the price though.

Top tier is a bit close to the lower board and cannot be adjusted. Otherwise it is fine.
Seems to be well made and stable, even with my heavy board on the bottom.

Comments about On-Stage Stands Deluxe X 2-Tier Keyboard Stand:

Easy to put together, great looking product, excellent value! It's not as stable as the Juggs stand I replaced with this unit, but it takes up much less space. The add-on tier is perfect for my uses: instead of a second keyboard, I use the upper tier to hold a set of powered speakers, cd player, and a small Mackie mixer (I am using a sheet of plywood I cut to size to proved the platfrom for all this to rest on). The main tier holds my QS7 perfectly. I highly reccomend this stand!

        nice for the stationary musician

Comments about On-Stage Stands Deluxe X 2-Tier Keyboard Stand:

I got this stand in the mail about a week ago, and am fairly pleased with it. I play in a praise and worship band for my college group and needed a stand for my laptop and midi controller. I found this one for pretty cheap and jumped on it. The stand is very sturdy. my only complaint is that it's a bit of a hassle to transport from place to place. I have to set up and tear down quite a bit so I tried to shove the collapsed stand into old guitar cases. Didnt work. I carry a lot of stuff in and out of buildings. If you need a studio stand or just don't move your equipment that often, go for it. and it's really not that big of a hassle. I'm just generally rushed.I'm probably going to end up making just a giant rolling case for all my stuff and use something better than just a piece of scrap plywood to bridge between the ends. haha. Maybe plexiglass...OH! and LED lights! that'd be fun!
