My band PA system has two decent powered speakers but the design doesn't allow laying it in a position to face the singer. I purchased guitar amp stands and they worked but have a big footprint. I looked for a smaller, lighter, lower stand and found that in these.

It collapses flat and fits right in the bag along with the monitor and is sturdy. Haven't done a gig with them yet but the smaller footprint and lower profile will be welcome on small stages.

For what it's designed for it's a good value. But don't expect it to hold too much because it is light weight. My speakers are about 25 lbs. and it is sturdy holding them up.

it's just your basic amp stand.... no bells or whistles. it is solidly constructed and looks good. You get what you pay for.... so if your looking for a Cadillac at a Geo price.... this one ain't for you.... you will be dissapointed. if you've got a big honkin' 4 x12 combo.... it just ain't gonna work well. The only minor flaw that I have found is that the back supports' angle doesn't mesh with the bottom supports' angle..... so that my 1 12 cab didn't lean against the back. It still did what I wanted it to do --- aim the cabinet upwards so I can hear it better in the close confines of a church choir area.

Comments about On-Stage Stands Folding Tiltback Amp Stand:

I bought it for my Roland Cube 60. The amp fits on there snugly, but the line outs in the back of the amp are directly in line with the crossbar. So, I'll be selling it in hopes of finding an amp stand that doesn't get in the way of the electronics.

Comments about On-Stage Stands Folding Tiltback Amp Stand:

Fits my Behringer 450 very well and I'm sure most amps that size. My 1 con is that the folding arms that are used to hold an amp have a tendency to swing open when carried. The larger stand, of this type, has swing out tabs to lock the arms in place. This smaller stand needs similar tabs. I will use a Velcro tie on this unit and hope this info gets back to the manufacturer to fix this minor problem.

Does not support either my Mustang 2 (1x12) or Acoustic G20 (2x12) combo amps satisfactorily.
            Uncontrollable pitch. Precarious at best.
A completely worthless item. Run away.

Musicians Gear Folding Tiltback Amp Stand

            By Hack-iMUzX

            from Kansas City

Comments about On-Stage Stands Folding Tiltback Amp Stand:

A well built stand made of 3/4" boxed steel, welded together, should last a long time. The smaller one with a 13 1/2" backrest is just right for a Fender Blues Jr. It has a 9" wide base. The large has a 17 1/2" backrest and is perfect for a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe, and will also work for the Blues Jr. It has an 11" wide base. The stands hold your amp at about 35 degrees from the floor. Just the thing to keep your amp off a sticky barroom floor.

            Angle problem

            By Jeffrey Triwedi

            from Greenwood, IN

Comments about On-Stage Stands Folding Tiltback Amp Stand:

If they correct this problem plus maybe add a strip of rubber to the bottom shelf to hold the amp better, this would help.
Noticed that my amp was not staying on the stand very well. When I closely examimed the stand I noticed that it opens up greater than 90 degrees, therefore the amp did not seat firmly on the bottom rails. It looks as though the bar was welded in the wrong spot. Don't know if was just this particular stand or a design flaw overall.

Comments about On-Stage Stands Folding Tiltback Amp Stand:

If you are looking for a basic stand that is going to get your small to medium sized amp off the ground and pointed upward, look no further. For less than $20 delivered to your front door step, this stand fits the bill.I think the reason that some of the other reviewers are rating this stand so low is that they want a $50 stand for $20.If you plan to use this stand for gigging, have a heavy and/or very expensive amp, or want to adjust the upward angle of the amp in the stand, this probably isn't for you.If you are a weekend/basement guitar hero and just want something unobtrusive of middling quality to get your Blues Junior off the ground and pointing at a 90 degree angle toward the heavens, this is an excellent choice.

Comments about On-Stage Stands Folding Tiltback Amp Stand:

Very flimsy. Even after retightening all of the bolts it still easily and freely moved around. Essentially you could say it is being "used", but I am pretty sure that its more or less my amp being propped up against the wall. Do yourself a favor and don't skimp on this purchase. An amp stand should also be capable of preventing your amp from crashing to the ground.

Comments about On-Stage Stands Folding Tiltback Amp Stand:

I just received this stand and I guess it sort of works. It is a great idea in concept but fairly poor excecution. The stand opens up way beyond a 90 degree angle and never stops moving until you get to about a 115 degree angle between the bottom support and the back support. Fortunately for me, I'm using it for a Fender Mustang 1 amp which weighs next to nothing. It does hold the amp, but the amp is not supported on the bottom....it just sort of leans back on the back support. Like the other reviewer said, it's like the amp is just leaning against a wall. It's a great mod platform for an amp stand (which sounds stupid to say). I'll drill some holes in it and and insert some metal pegs to get it to sit the way I want it to.....not sure why they just didn't do that from the factory....seems simple enough. I wouldn't put a heavy amp on this stand.

Sturdy frame, completely inadequate bolts. Never worked.

            By Robert Taylor

            from CA

Comments about On-Stage Stands Folding Tiltback Amp Stand:

It's not exactly dangerous, and it does fold up flat. But it is too wimpy to hold up any amp. I don't think mine was defective- it's just a poor design.
            Folding Tiltback Amp Stand
Two frame pieces are sturdy steel, nicely painted, with pretty nice little rubber feet. Two thin bolts with hex heads hold the frame pieces together. There is no clutch, no toothed disk, no brace, nothing more than a small thin washer to create friction and keep the frame from flopping down and dumping your amp when you set it on the stand. I tightened the bolts as much as I dared (fearing they would strip or break if I went further) but the stand would not hold up even my smallest amp (a Crate V8 Palomino). I tightened the bolts more and the metal arms of the stand began to bend and collapse under the strain, but it still wouldn't stay in position at all. I kept it around for a while trying to think of semi-convenient ways to jury rig some kind of better fitting for the stand, then threw it away. Unless you are looking for a do-it-yourself metal-working project, I highly recommend buying a better stand that is actually designed to work. This one is not a bargain at any price.

Comments about On-Stage Stands Folding Tiltback Amp Stand:

It works with my 25lb amp, but I had to add a pipe wrench post to the back of it and fold the bottom shelf backwards and flat down to make it so the tilted top shelf to securely hold the amp so it has no chance of falling all the way backwards. I address a locked pipe wrench facing down behind the tilted back shelf to accomplish this. With my added modification, it is now very secure. I suspect it might work fine with a much smaller and lighter amp as is, but with my 25lb amp, it wasn't very stable.
