The strongest On-Stage A-frame, the GS7462B features heavy-duty square tubing, velveteen rubber and a "uni-construction" design that means that there are no parts to lose. The patented stepped yoke holds both acoustic and electric guitars as well as desktop mixers and combo amps, so there is no longer a need to own multiple stands when this patented stepped yoke can hold all of them. The unique shape also allows this stand to nest together with others when not is use.

FEATURES
  • 10-degree tilt back angle and splayed foot print make for a stable foundation
  • Velveteen rubber won't damage the finish of your equipment
  • This extremely versatile A-Frame can fold flat for travel or nest together with other stands for storage
  • Can be used to hold various small amps and mixers

These are very practical stands, and especially efficient when performing.

The two legs that comprise the base are long and large enough to securely support most, if not all, guitars, and the top of the "A" tall enough for the back of the guitar to be supported. This, and the fact there are no encumbrances, makes lifting a guitar out of the stand or placing it back easy. I was originally cautioned about using a stand with a support for the instrument's neck, but in my experience, these extensions were more trouble than they were worth and, if the neck or one's hand caught an edge of the rubber "clip" meant to keep the instrument more securely in place, the whole stand would fall forward. On the double-instrument version, the whole stand fell to the side, carrying an expensive guitar along with it, crashing to the ground (the audience literally held their collective breath until it was obvious the guitar was ok). That's when I switched to the A-frame and have never looked back. This stand has worked well with classical and flattop guitars, a Strat-styled electric and a Gibson Howard Roberts Fusion III, even an authentic 1980's D'Aquisto "Jazz" archtop.

My one question that remains unanswered is what, if any, effect or chemical reaction might be caused by the rubber protection when leaving an instrument in a stand over time?

These stands are straightforward, strong, easy to pack up and take on the road and, thus far, unquestionably reliable.

I bought 8 of these stands because I have acoustics, solidbodies, and thinline & deep-dish archtops. The notches in the arms work well for all my guitars, even my V! The glue is cheap though & the foam rubber will fall off. So you glue it back, no biggie. It really is a decent little guitar stand though. The product description states that the 'patented multi-tiered design' accomodates combo amps. It doesn't say that the 10-degree slant doesn't tilt your amp back enough to keep it stable. It WILL tip forward and fall off the freakin stand upon the slightest nudge, bump, or tug from your instrument cable plugged into the amp's input jack. It happened to me when a tube amp tipped forward & my lil baby hasn't been right since (clean channel volume is stuck on 10. Not good.).So - it's a good price for a decent GUITAR stand. Don't put ANY other equipment on it unless you're trying to test how rugged it is when it smashes on the floor. Because that's what it will do.

Very sturdy and you cant beat the price with 15% off acc sale. Some have said theh think it leans back too far and takes up too much room on stage but i turn it 90 DEG or side to side as you look at the stage and is parallel to the amp ,the it does not take up as much room front to back and works great that way

Comments about On-Stage Stands GS7462B Professional A-FRAME Stand:

Bought this to hold a double neck. The stand itself is stable and heavy duty but be careful when placing the guitar in the stand as the bottom support bars have a few different bends in them, in an effort to accommodate different guitar configurations I believe. The thinness of a SG style double neck causes the guitar to lean way back in the stand. It's not that it isn't being held, it just looks odd. The guitar is secure in a front to back axis but the guitar is not secure in the left to right axis which is to be expected in a stand of this configuration. When you place your baby into this stand, just make sure it is resting in the correct support arm location and place the stand out of the way of any traffic, to lessen the chance of the guitar being unintentionally bumped sideways. Any thicker bodied or acoustic style guitar seems to fit securely as the thicker body fits the stand support bars much better. Great stand if you realize what the design lends to itself. It does support the double neck OK but be careful.

Comments about On-Stage Stands GS7462B Professional A-FRAME Stand:

The angle is too steep therefore giving it a large footprint. If placed against a wall or stack it sticks out two feet, more with a bass. Also it's a bit awkward placing and removing a guitar compared to a more upright stand, especially for taller folks. Otherwise it's a good stand for the money.

This stand holds my Starcaster clear of the floor and steady as a rock, even on carpet at home. Fits my acoustic just as well but won't try it with my amp. Well built and worth the price.
