OVERVIEW

Unique design improves stability.

The On-Stage Stands GS8100 guitar stand has padded gates that close when the guitar head rests on the upper yokes. Height adjusts from 30-43" so that the body rests on legs back bumpers.

This patent-pending stand includes padded gates that close when the guitar headstock rests on the upper yokes. The weight of the guitar keeps the gates closed, preventing it from falling even if the stand is vigorously bumped on stage.

The GS8100 is height-adjustable to accommodate the size of any guitar, ensuring that the body gently rests against its padded legs. Features include velveteen rubber padding, reinforced tripod leg braces, non-slip rubber end caps, and a cam locking clutch.

  • Leg Housing: Steel and reinforced nylon leg housing and clutches

The locking tab broke while trying to join the
two pole pieces together. I upgraded to a Hercules.

I own a couple of these and they work just as they are supposed to. Much more stable than the tubular cradle type stands. You won't be disappointed.

Comments about On-Stage Stands Hang-It ProGrip Guitar Stand:

I own 2 of these and they hold my basses and guitars the way that you want them to. They are very stable on stage and hold your instrument securely but you can easily remove your instrument from the stand just by lifting it up and off of the stand. If you are looking for a stable and secure stand you will not be disapointed with these stands they work as well as the higher priced Hercules models.

I bought this on a promo. I guess for the price paid it serves the purpose. However, the width of the neck grip was very tight even on a narrow neck Martin D35. My D18 Golden Era did not fit. The passive foam "keepers" don't roll down into place very well either. Go with the Hurcules stand. It's a better value.

A good stand is worth the money

Comments about On-Stage Stands Hang-It ProGrip Guitar Stand:

I have tried all my guitars in this stand at one time or another so if you have a Martin Dreadnought,Gibson SG,1960 Gibson thin neck LesPaul, 1947 Gibson ES 125, or a American Fender Roadhouse Strat, I know for sure these style guitars will fit snug and secure. I also have a Warmouth "Explorer" type reverse head stock that fits in there kind of crooked so I am not comfortable using this stand with this guitar. What I would like to see changed on this stand is a metal hinge bracket that hold the legs on the center tube body, metal quick release adjustment clamp (in stead of plastic), and cloth covered padding like the kind that comes in a good guitar case. All in all this stand is worth the price.
Locking gate on top ( Keeps guitar from accidently sliding out ) Padding where the guitar makes contact.Quick locking, slide adjusting for different size guitars. Easy brake down whith folding legs. Non skid "rubber like" caps on end of the 3 legs
Nice flat black finish, OK engineering. Of the quality you would expect from On Stage Stands.
It might not be top shelf , but worth the price.
