I got this (Heavy Duty Deluxe X Ergo-lok Keyboard Stand) on the recommendation of a Musician's Friend associate for my Yamaha P155B. I am nearly 6 foot 4 and this stand will work with my standing up to play. I didn't take it quite as high as it would go since doing so makes the top bars come closer together (as it would any of this type), but it seems like it is going to be high enough since the keyboard itself adds height on top of the stand.
Yes, there is harder rubber used for the top, but that is pretty normal I thnk and is possibly done to offer more traction and to take more wear and tear from the keyboard.
This is solid and the dual braced design helps with that. It is true that this makes it hard (if not impossible depending on the height) to get your legs under there, but that is the price to pay for stability, portability and space conservation by folding it compactly. If you want room for legs and still want stability, but are willing to give up space as well as ease and efficiency in teardown, you might consider an A-frame.
Anyhow, this is a great deal for the money. It is solid, there are color-coded stickers to help put together (although the directions said blue and the stickers were purple and one sticker fell off during installation). The one quick release lever makes adjusting easy to do, and the wheel mechanism offers plenty of points of adjustment (unlike knobs combined with bolts that only offer a few points of adjustment).

This is a great stand and I am planning on buying another for my long stage piano but this thing is stinking heavy. I am a med framed woman and I just get tired of lugging gear but I care enough about stability to put up with that minor issue. I don't think I could find a better one for the price anywhere.

I love this stand. It is perfect for the keyboard I have, and it never wobbles when I play. The locking mechanism works perfectly and is super easy to use. Overall, solid construction.
The only thing that bothered me was when I first tried to put it together, which is supposed to be an incredibly simple matter, something just wasn't right. Turns out the manufacturer had assembled the legs incorrectly and so I had to take one pair of legs apart and re-attach them. All in all, not a huge deal but kind of silly. If not for that I'd have been able to assemble this stand in just a few minutes.

Had one of these for years-sturdiness and portability excellent. Holds my Yamaha p-150 with virtually no shaking. Very quick set up and take down. Has held up for nearly 10 years and lots of transport and still looks great.
Setting up the new one was a bit tricky-the color coding was wrong- but used my original one as a guide and got it together.

Definately recommended stand. This is the first Double X stand I have owned and it is so much more stable than single X stands. Holds my Yamaha MM8 (88 weighted) board.

This is the second X Ergi Lok keyboard stand I've purchased. I continue to use the first on with a stack configuation of keyboards. The recent purchase was for our church to support a new keyboard we recently purchased. The price of the keyboard necessitated a dependable, sturdy stand for support. It is great for "on the go" or stationary performances. Easy to adjust external handle makes this a great selection. Dennis

Its very sturdy. I had purchased a single braced stand in the past form OnStage Stands and this double braced one is a LOT better. Would definately recommend this over a single braced stand, especially if you have a large or heavy keyboard. I've got an 88 key digital piano/midi controller sitting on it and added the X Add On Tier to hold another 61 key synth and it works great.

I am always scared to purchase something online, but this stans came in and I was pleasantly surprised. I had it assembled in about 5 mins. The insructions are easy to read & parts have color coded stickers which are easy to peel off (doesnt leave residue). The legs have easy to use adjustable legs. I have a 75lb keyboard sitting on this stand and I have had no problems whatsoever with any wobbling or unsturdiness.
