On-Stage Stands

Clamps securely in place for extra space!

The sturdy On-Stage Stands Keyboard X Stand Add On 2nd Tier lets you double your keyboard space without springing for another stand or a more elaborate system. Tilt adjustment helps you put your board right where you want it.

It can be inserted into most X-style keyboard stands with round or square tubing and uses a tightening knob with an internal-tubing mechanism to secure the 2nd tier. A midpoint clutch featuring 2 disks with 36 interlocking teeth allows the user to tilt the second tier to any position without worrying about slippage. The clutch is made with die-cast zinc for added strength.

The unit comes complete with a stabilizer bar that keeps the left and right tier members upright when it is properly assembled between the 2 members. And, because the stabilizer bar telescopes, the width of the entire 2nd tier unit adjusts with your stand.

The KSA7500 fits all On-Stage Stands X-Style Models as well as most name-brand keyboard stands.

Pretty clever design and very sturdy.  The small cross arm that connects the two vertical members helps tie everything together and nice and tight.  Should work well with any type of stand that has hollow round tubes for the upper keyboard support arms.

Just what I needed

Features:

Fits well in my X stand, and is easy to set up.   I like the adjustible cross-bar making it easy to switch the entire stand set (X and 2nd tier), from a lower (bench play) position to a higher (standing play) position.  To do that I remove the keyboards, loosen the cams, loosen the cross-bar adjustment wheel-screw and then adjust the entire (X and 2nd tier) up or down, then tighten everything and put the keyboards back on.

Quality:

Good quality, I use it with my heavy duty On-Stage X stand, which I also recommend.  There are cheep X-stands for the bottom,  but not that much cheaper, come on it's holding your baby, so pay the little $20 more and go for the quality..

Value:

Great for the money

Overall:

I use it at home, and at the gig.   It lets me fit two of my keyboards in the same footprint, which is great for small gigs, where I only have one small space to set up.

The add on stand was perfect for what I needed and was easy to intall.

Quality:

The add on stand is very sturdy!

Value:

By purchasing the add on stand, it saved me the price of a new stand which may have cost me three to four times more.

Overall:

One thing that may help is the possibility of creating an add on stand just like this one but with the flexibility to increase the height.

This is my second one.   Idea is great but the arms do not line up...probably an issue with teeth/collar  design.  But for the price and compatability with the 2 tier Z on stage stand....good value!!!

For starters, my original stand is an On-Stage Heavy-Duty Deluxe Double X Ergo stand, so I don't know if that has anything to do with how well the tier worked for me as opposed someone installing it on non On-Stage brand stand. The add-on 2nd tier installed VERY easily; but, I believe there is a certain way you need to install the tier to make sure the left and right sides are perfectly aligned. First, install them in the rear of your stand, but DO NOT snug them down all the way, just enough so they don't move on. THEN, install the center support bar and tighten that down all the way, then tighten down the left and right sides of each arm. It worked for me, level and sturdy. I must note that the 2nd tier does hamper the visibility of the lower keyboard (but not the playability). This is not important to me, but if it is to you, take note of that fact before you buy this tier.
