Can honestly say that if this thing's collapsed under the weight of a 33lb keyboard, someone didn't know how to properly tighten/assemble this thing. I've had no troubles whatsoever, and have had two heavy analog synthesizers (Korg DW8000 and Roland JX-3P) and a modular on the center row and it's been nothing but excellent, sturdy, and quiet (i.e. not rickety). Had this in a very confined closet space, so the bottom supports were at an angle and not fully extended, and had no problems at all.

The only downside is that it only comes with two arms per tier (the bare minimum) and I want to fill it up completely with my gear, so I'm buying more arms. It's also pretty big, but that's a good thing. I see these stands in every professional recording studio I've been in. Have recommended it to others.

Seriously, tighten everything, assemble it correctly, and you'll be fine.

I just put my Fusion 8HD on this stand tonight. It held the weight until I started playing. The tier that my Fusion occupied collapsed, sending my Fusion to the floor. I'm glad I took the precaution of padding the floor under the stand or my Fusion would be history. I had a feeling judging by the plastic joints holding this stand together, that it couldn't hold 88lbs... let alone per tier. Cheap junk, do yourself a favor and count this stand out for 88 key workstations and anything else over 30lbs.

    Comments about On-Stage Stands KS-7903 3-Tier A-Frame Keyboard Stand:

I bought this thing ten years ago, and in that amount of time, my Yamaha Motif ES6 has fallen twice and cost me plenty to fix. Also, my DX 27, took a fall and I had to have that fixed once, but low and behold, as I started to uncover my cover on my keys, the whole thing collapsed. This thing went into the garbage forthright. It's awesome looking but, it is very unstable. How you set the stabilizer bar in back will determine how all of the rest of the stand will stay together. Plastic joints cracked and broke from being brittle. Best thing to do is look for something with stability and not looks.

      Comments about On-Stage Stands KS-7903 3-Tier A-Frame Keyboard Stand:

After reading the reviews for this stand I decided to purchase one for my home recording studio. After spending an hour or so of adjusting and re-adjusting I got it set up nicely. I can certainly see where this would not be a good stage stand as the clamps and fittings wouldn't stand up to constant tightening and untightening but in a static setting it works just fine. The only bad thing I can say really is that the cheap rubber caps for the arm ends fall off easily. Not a big thing but semi irritating. Overall, I'm quite happy with it.

The clamp down knobs don't hold and the plastic stops break with very little weight. Don't put anything of value on it. My mixer weighs about 15 pounds and found it on the floor the next day with the stops broken.

Does what it's supposed to do.

            Comments about On-Stage Stands KS-7903 3-Tier A-Frame Keyboard Stand:

There is no better 3 tier stand for this price. For the price, there are stands that are better for gigging. This is outstanding for use in a studio.
I have 88 key Roland piano on bottom tier, Korg M50 on 2nd tier, and my mixers and drum units on the top. Can adjust heights and angles on all 3 tiers. Great stand for the money. I will be using this solely in my studio. I can't imagine using this thing at gigs. It would be a real pain to set up and tear down. Best to stay put. There are better 3 tier stands for gigging. I am happy with this and feel like I made the right choice.
Best to use in a studio. Not on the road.

            Great Value Stand

            Comments about On-Stage Stands KS-7903 3-Tier A-Frame Keyboard Stand:

Let's face it folks, a stand for $100 is not going to be made out of solid steel. This stand holds a moderate amount of weight and is very sturdy, providing you set it up right. I use it for two kyboards on the bottom tiers, and a board across the top to hold a module and a laptop. It is large but does not occupy any more space than some of the vintage heavy weights. I reccomend it for all types of use, if you treat it with care it will last for many years to come.

Awesome stand for use at home.

            Comments about On-Stage Stands KS-7903 3-Tier A-Frame Keyboard Stand:

Once I got it put together, I haven't had any problems with it. I just wish that it included a fourth set of arms. I had to buy another set from Onstage (good customer care). I put my Kurzweil PC1SE on the bottom tier, my Roland XP10 on the second tier and my recording gear and laptop on the top tier. This stand has been awesome. It's sturdy enough for my 3 year old to hang from and not fall apart (yes I had a heart attack when I saw that happening). I bought this stand with the intention of using it only at home. I wouldn?t even try to use this on stage. That?s what I have my X stand for. #1 it takes up a lot of space. #2 you need an allen wrench to make any adjustments. Buy this stand if you need a flexible stand for home/studio use.

            Comments about On-Stage Stands KS-7903 3-Tier A-Frame Keyboard Stand:

As I read some of these reviews about the A Frame Keyboard Stand I am just amaze to hear that some of you musician have a progrma with this product. Well first of all this type of stand In my thinking was really made for the home or studio were you may have three or four keyboards midi togeather. However deepending on the weight of your board you may need to use extra arms to support the board weight. This is not the kind of keyboard stand that you would want to be using on the road going from gig to gig plastic will not hold up long setting up taking down moving and moving and moving around. you are better off with an double brace X stand with a set of tiers or two for on the road. That is more easy to set upand take down and don't take up that much room on stage. But this A Frame stand I would use in my home and my boards are no more than 30 pounds in weight so I my self will have no problem with the stand I just can't wait to get one.

            Not for small stages!!

            Comments about On-Stage Stands KS-7903 3-Tier A-Frame Keyboard Stand:

Three years ago, I bought this stand. Getting the right balance on this monstrosity is nerve wracking. It tilted and wobbled and drove me crazy for hours trying to set up just right. This a stand that can only fit in a van. I have a sub-compact station wagon and it has to be disassembled. On stage, there is simply no room for the keyboard stand and, you have to fight for what ever space you want with drummers and guitarists. Unless you have the patience of a saint; I'd advise you to think twice before buying this stand.
