Comments about On-Stage Stands KT7800 Standard Keyboard Bench:
The picture in this ad is not the Kt7800 keyboard bench. It is an "axman" (model unknown) Google KT7800 image to see what you will really get if you order this item
Comments about On-Stage Stands KT7800 Standard Keyboard Bench:
I bought three of these KT7800s three years ago, and only one hasn't broken. The X piece breaks off of the the foot tubes. That's bad!!Not quick (but not difficult) to adjust the height, a consideration only if you are going to change height a lot. Looking to buy more (this time better!) keyboard benches--they make excellent, tuck-away seating for elsewhere in the home!
Comments about On-Stage Stands KT7800 Standard Keyboard Bench:
It is a little bit smaller than prefered, but it holds you up, and is comfortable to sit on. I use to just sit on my guitar amp while I played but I wanted an acturally bench without spending anymore than I needed too. It is sturdy and locks into place in a way I find to be very trustworthy. My only complaint is that one reason I wanted a bench was so I could move around more (Sit to the left when doing alot in the bass, to the right when doing alot of trable, ect.) This is small and doesn't allow much moving around but it does allow a fair amount.
Comments about On-Stage Stands KT7800 Standard Keyboard Bench:
Altogether, not an awful bench, but definitely not the most durable thing in the world considering both feet have fallen off. A friend welded one back on for me but now the second has fallen off. Recommendation: Spend a little more money on a bench that will hold up longer.
Comments about On-Stage Stands KT7800 Standard Keyboard Bench:
The only thing I would change about this bench would be to have a quicker way to change the height. I use this for guitar mainly, but it is great for keyboard playing as well.
Comments about On-Stage Stands KT7800 Standard Keyboard Bench:
Ironic that I write a positive review for this item only after mine broke, but it's important to note that "I broke it" more than "it broke." I bounce around a lot playing a sit-down 88 and using the sustain pedal a lot, and this "cheap" bench survived a number of gigs and countless hours of at-home practice before it finally broke; the only reason it failed, as I see things, is that I was using it on a very uneven concrete floor---it never had a chance, in that situation, to be firmly and properly planted on the ground.Only reason I didn't give it a better "features" rating is that it does not collapse unless you unscrew a bolt (I would prefer one that would collapse more readily by pressing some release lever or somesuch).I'll inevitably buy another... meanwhile I guess I'll see how long the standard wooden "acoustic" piano bench I'm using on that concrete floor lasts, always on three legs...
