This is the third Musicians Gear Amp Stand I've purchased. The first two are Deluxe Models that place the amp about 2' from the floor but I wanted one to hold my amps or my bass combo that was lower to the floor and had a slightly different tilt angle. It arrived today and it's perfect for what I had in mind. Now I have a little more flexibility as far as amp placement in different locations.

The Deluxe Stands work better on deeper stages where you're standing farther from the amp and the Folding Stands, because of their greater tilt angle, are more efficient for the small stages where you're standing 8' or less away from the amp. The tilt angle also allows me to put the bass speaker and port very low where I prefer it without getting frequency canceling reflective waves from the floor. It's actually a pretty ideal stand for bass combos or speaker cabinets if you need one.

It's simple, it's well built for it's intended use and like the others, it's inexpensive. Three of them have cost me about the same amount as one of the higher end models and these are no less efficient for my purposes. I like the fact that this one will fold flat for transport and take up less room as well. I have no complaints about these MG stands.

Got this as a Christmas present for my Flextone III XL so I could play at home at lower volumes. Disappointed in how the amp sits on it. Bracket angles changes because it can't support the weight properly (amp weighs 60lbs) so bottom of amp will not sit solidly, but rather at an angle plus the horizontal bracket on the back brace is exactly where my pedal board and effects loop input/output cables go. Would've returned but it would have cost as much in shipping to send back. Save your $$$ and look for something else...I bought the Musician Gear Deluxe Amp Stand and am much more satisfied with it. As for this stand, it's going in our next garage sale.

Comments about On-Stage Stands Large Folding Tiltback Amp Stand:

Nice alternative to the off-the-floor amp stands. Perfect for floor and low platform stages when using a combo vs. a slant half or full stack. Had to work a little with placement as I use the stereo return connections in back of my Roland GA 212. But, not difficult. You lose storage space under the stand, but have better audience coverage.

Comments about On-Stage Stands Large Folding Tiltback Amp Stand:

I have a Raven RG60 combo amp as a more portable backup to my Randall half stack and this is great for angling the amp to get better sound projection. The stand is stable and sturdy even though this amp is fairly heavy. It folds up neatly for transport and unfolds in about three seconds once you figure it out, which only takes a moment.

Lightweight yet strong. I'm really glad I found this rather than the full size stand I was planning on getting. This suits my needs better and the portability and compactness when folded is a real virtue considering that space is a valuable commodity in my small car when hauling gear.

Plus the angle of the amplifier now keeps my cat from sitting on the amp...

I purchased this so I could tilt my SWR Working Pro 2x10 bass amp farther back to hear myself. I'm very pleased with it, I could now hear everything and the stand is sturdy and easy to store.

Comments about On-Stage Stands Large Folding Tiltback Amp Stand:

This amp. stand is great, but did not meet one of my requirements--that is I have a Fender Champion 100 amp. with an open back. The back of the amp. stand does not go all the way to the top of my amplifier, therefore, the back metal members of the stand would have rested on the internal electronics of my amplifier. Not Good! To solve the problem I purchased a piece of 1x2 wood trim and mounted it horizontally across the back of the amp. recessing it flush against the amp. sides and fastening it with two 2 inch wood screws through both sides of the amp. I also painted the 1x2 black to match the amp. Color. The 1x2 was mounted approximately 8 inches down from the top of the amp. Now the amp. stand fits perfectly and rests upon the 1x2 and not the electronics within the amp. The amp. stand unfolds and folds up quickly when traveling to and from music gigs. It's truly a great stand.

Comments about On-Stage Stands Large Folding Tiltback Amp Stand:

Great stand when in tight quarters. Helps keep stage volume down by getting the speaker lined up with your ears and away from audience and sound mans ears. Because the back end is almost touching the floor there is less loss of amps low end.

This is a solid stand set at the correct angle. We are using it as a stand on our worship platrform for an older Peavy Keyboard amp which is NOT a light amplifier, and it works great.
