This is the third Musicians Gear Amp Stand I've purchased. The first two are Deluxe Models that place the amp about 2' from the floor but I wanted one to hold my amps or my bass combo that was lower to the floor and had a slightly different tilt angle. It arrived today and it's perfect for what I had in mind. Now I have a little more flexibility as far as amp placement in different locations.

The Deluxe Stands work better on deeper stages where you're standing farther from the amp and the Folding Stands, because of their greater tilt angle, are more efficient for the small stages where you're standing 8' or less away from the amp. The tilt angle also allows me to put the bass speaker and port very low where I prefer it without getting frequency canceling reflective waves from the floor. It's actually a pretty ideal stand for bass combos or speaker cabinets if you need one.

It's simple, it's well built for it's intended use and like the others, it's inexpensive. Three of them have cost me about the same amount as one of the higher end models and these are no less efficient for my purposes. I like the fact that this one will fold flat for transport and take up less room as well. I have no complaints about these MG stands.

Got this as a Christmas present for my Flextone III XL so I could play at home at lower volumes. Disappointed in how the amp sits on it. Bracket angles changes because it can't support the weight properly (amp weighs 60lbs) so bottom of amp will not sit solidly, but rather at an angle plus the horizontal bracket on the back brace is exactly where my pedal board and effects loop input/output cables go. Would've returned but it would have cost as much in shipping to send back. Save your $$$ and look for something else...I bought the Musician Gear Deluxe Amp Stand and am much more satisfied with it. As for this stand, it's going in our next garage sale.

    Folding Tilt Back Amp Stand

Comments about On-Stage Stands RS6000 Large Folding Tiltback Amp Stand:

by far the best I have ever seen.
It folds up completely flat and even LOCKS. Then it opens easily and cannot slip. I have several other amp stands that contain multiple adjustable parts with pins and etc. When you fold them you have to take care that they don't lop off a finger! The old ones have pins that must be inserted or removed, rubber that comes off, end caps that disappear, and etc. Take it from me, this new stand is the simplest, easiest, best design, and it will definitely be the only stand I will ever buy from now on.
    Rugged and made from steel.
For the price, I was amazed.

Great stand when in tight quarters. Helps keep stage volume down by getting the speaker lined up with your ears and away from audience and sound mans ears. Because the back end is almost touching the floor there is less loss of amps low end.

Comments about On-Stage Stands RS6000 Large Folding Tiltback Amp Stand:

Not overly well built but serves my purpose that being for in-home use. It does not form a ninety degree angle so there is space between the back of the amp and the rear frame. I have a Peavey Classic 30 & its extension cab on elevated stands that are structurally better built but wanted to tip my Motion Sound amp back as well and keep it low. The power switch in the rear and the inlet for the floor pedal are a little more difficult to access.
        Overall....worth the money for me.

I was concerned that this little thing would snap into a few pieces after I put my B-52 AT212 on it. Much to my surprise, it held all of the 95lbs the B-52 has to offer. Thus far I can't give this amp stand a negative review.

Inexpensive, fairly sturdy. Not quite squared,so a little play between amp and base, but still pretty stable.I'm using a Mesa Boogie DC-5 1-12" combo amp,and it fits very nicely. It says "large",but it might be a little small for a Twin or VT 22. Angle is just right.

It's just what I needed! It's strong enough to hold my 1x15 bass cabinet at a great angle for live use. It's ready for use in seconds, and folds up in seconds when you're loading out.
It folds flat, so it doesn't take up much room. It sets up quickly.
It's no-frills, which means it will last longer. No springs, clutches or clamps. Two moving parts. As long as there is gravity, this thing will work.
You can pay a lot more than this to have your amp tilted, but why would you?

It just got delivered. Opened it up. My initial observation is: THIS IS WIMPY. There are only tack welds holding the steel together, and it's constructed of 3/4" square VERY thin wall tubing. I can flex it with my hands, not even using tools or leaning on a workbench.I flat-out do not trust this thing for use with larger combo amps. If you have a single 12" Marshall, okay, it'll do the job. If you've got a 5150 212 combo, you're going to wear this out in three gigs. It's just too light-duty.

Comments about On-Stage Stands RS6000 Large Folding Tiltback Amp Stand:

My only suggestion for improving the model: give it a user adjustable angle control with at least 3 options. Ok, I'm willing to pay more for that...
I think this little stand is PERFECT for a Blues Jr size combo amp. It appears strong enough to even hold an AC15 (which is much heavier). I wouldn't trust it with something like an AC30, because they're just too heavy. I also love that this stand folds flat for easy transportation. The angle is great for musician's woking on small stages that are close to the same level as your audience.
I've read other peple call it flimsey or cheap, and I just don't get that. It's not cheap and it works very well. What do you expect for this price??

Very flimsy construction. The stand does not hold my 2x12 Marshall combo well at all. Even after tightening, the legs still can't support a great deal of weight. Right now the back legs are propped against a wall, which is the only reason this 'stand' is standing.

Comments about On-Stage Stands RS6000 Large Folding Tiltback Amp Stand:

I'm using a pair of these to turn 1x15+horn PA cabs into wedge monitors for a stereo keyboard rig. These stands work great for that purpose because the cabs weigh 48 lbs each. However, I don't think I'd trust my 70lb Matchless 2x12 amp to one of these stands. Its a shame because the design is sound and if they'd just used quality 1" tubing and heavier welds, it would be a great stand for heavyweight amps.On the positive side, they fold down really nicely for transport, and the center-of-gravity is kept at ground level so its more stable than a stand that lifts the amp a few feet off the ground. Just don't put a true heavyweight amp on it.

Comments about On-Stage Stands RS6000 Large Folding Tiltback Amp Stand:

Overall, this is a GREAT product. I use it and transport it regularly, and nothing has gone wrong. My only issue is that it was a bit tough for my non-mechanical brain to figure out how to fold correctly. Once I got it, I wrote the directions on it with white-out. It works great, I can hear myself now, I have recomended this, and I would buy another in a heartbeat.
I give it an eight for features because it's fairly basic. But it does what it does great. The fact that it folds flat is a godsend.
The quality of this thing is unbeatable. I've been using it with regular set up and tear down for a couple years. No signs of wear whatsoever.
I give it an eight for value, because I would've liked to pay cheaper. But it's not outrageous. As a matter of fact, I bought one for my rhythym guitarist.
