The gravity locking cross braces to the legs are a great feature and the combination of the slip pins and hand screw locks make the stand very stable and able to hold a good size amp with no threat of tipping. Center of gravity is well thought out. Perfect height ad angle to help throw the sound upward and out for a guitar amp. Just the right angle for a self contained PA amp to read the controls from a distance. I use my two stands for every gig. In an open mic situation, the people using my stands are quite happy to be able to hear their instrument amps not being swallowed up by the stage clutter. Thanks for the great price as well.

I've owned this thing for probably 7-8 years and I have a love/hate relationship with it. There have been a few times where it's served its purpose very well, but the big problem I have with it is that it simply puts your amp TOO MUCH into your ears (or that of your bandmates). At its lowest and flattest (the arms can be reversed for more or less tilt) settings it lets me hear too much of my amp, and with too much "right in the cone" harshness, or whatever you want to call it. I need to feel like my sound is mixing with the band in order to feel right about what I'm doing. This stand makes it very hard to have what you hear mix back in with the band. In other words, even at very low volumes, I always feel like I'm too loud. Most of the time when I try this thing, I end up taking the amp off the stand after the first set, and I'm usually much happier. There have been a couple of times when it's worked out ok, but if you have limited stage space, I have a piece of 2x4 that I prop under the front edge of my amp to tilt it just a bit, and it works much better.I'm thinking about trying one of the amp stands that allows the amp to sit closer to the floor. That might do it for me. If this thing was about a foot lower, it might just be perfect. As it is, I can't use it.

Works great as a rack case holder.

Comments about On-Stage Stands RS7000 Tiltback Amp Stand:

I purchased this (naturally) to get my amp off the floor but discovered that it worked great as a stand for my rack case. The tiltback and adjustable height makes it easier to see my gear and tweak knobs. I can get to the cables at the back of the case as well. The stand would have got fives if the tilt angle was adjustable. It would have made it easier to transport because the stand doesn't fold flat unless you take the upper assembly apart. Oh, and your amp cabinet needs to be at least 14" wide. If you have any jacks and power cords on the back of your amp, the back supports may block those depending on how they're placed.

Comments about On-Stage Stands RS7000 Tiltback Amp Stand:

I originally bought this just to keep my amp (Fender Hot Rod Deluxe) off the floor. The tilt allows me to put out a fuller richer sound. Transport is never a problem it assembles and disassembles very quickly with not tools. I like it a lot.

    Just what I needed

Comments about On-Stage Stands RS7000 Tiltback Amp Stand:

I was skeptical about buying this product online without getting a chance to see what it's like in person. I just received it in the mail yesterday, and it works great. I own a Twin Reverb reissue, and it weighs 65lbs. The titltback option on the amp was good for playing by myself, but at shows I could never hear myself. I tried putting my amp up on chairs, but it was so big that I was in a constant state of paranoia that one of my most valued investments was about to crash to the floor at any minute. This stand should alleviate all of those problems. I haven't used it in a live performance setting yet, but I can say that it is completely stable and I feel safe keeping my amp perched on this stand. This isn't my first time buying an On-Stage product, and I have to say that I've been more than pleased with all of their products so far. Good quality for low prices.

Not worth the price...not by a long shot

Comments about On-Stage Stands RS7000 Tiltback Amp Stand:

This thing got all warped on me around the holding brackets, and it's a total pain in the rear-end (keepin' it PG) when it comes to storage. I like to have a lot of control over my sound, so I brought this thing with me on tour with my band: big mistake. It did not cooperate in any kind of packing endeavor. It just ended up getting in the way. Don't get this.

The best place for your combo amp

Comments about On-Stage Stands RS7000 Tiltback Amp Stand:

I recently bought this stand, and it is built with quality and versatility in mind. I have 5 amps two acoustic amps and three electric guitar amps, and they all fit solidly on this stand.I will be buying at least two more in the future. The stand places the amp off the floor and makes it easy to make adjustments on your combo while playing. The other feature of simply getting your expensive combos off the floor is logical for many reasons including looks.

Comments about On-Stage Stands RS7000 Tiltback Amp Stand:

My wife bought this for me as a present. It seemed like a good stand, if maybe a bit bulky when opened up, but there was no support for my open back amp. The amp has a bit of an oddly shaped cabinet that is a bit taller than it is wide. The angle between the horizontal and vertical arms did not meet the bottom corner of the amp and so there was enough movement such that if it rocked back a bit the momentum could carry it all the way back to the floor. It was a bit more stable when I reversed the arms but not enough.

Comments about On-Stage Stands RS7000 Tiltback Amp Stand:

I should have had one of these YEARS ago. I am so happy with this product and the fact it does everything I needed it to do with my brand new Peavey Vypyr 120 Tube amp.

It's so easy to use and it's as solid as can be and yet light weight to carry around. Just an awesome piece of equipment.
