Just got these in a couple days ago. I'll have to say that I was pretty impressed. They looked a little flimsy in the pictures but they are actually pretty sturdy once you get them setup. the booms are long enough to do whatever you need to do with them and they go plenty high. Only complaint I can think of is that the leg span could be a bit wider. with one of my samson c01 condensers on the end, and the boom fully extended, it tends to want to fall over unless you position one of the legs directly under the span of the boom. But just make a few adjustments to either height, boom length, or leg placement and you are good to go. Has all the features you'd expect from a mic stand. Easy height adjustment and easy boom length adjustment. I guess it could have come with some mic clips. I personally didn't need them, but some might want/need them. Besides for a few minor gripes, these stands are an incredible value and I would definitely buy again if broken or lost.

I needed a couple of extra mic stands for some gigs that are coming up and picked these up on the BOGO sale. They are ok but as others have mentioned, as soon as I touched the t-bar to tighten up the boom the plastic ball end disintegrated. I had hardly even gotten it out of the package yet. I put it in the pile of my other cheap stands that I have had for a while and really, these look a little wimpy even next to my winpy stands. Oh well, it's a double sawbuck per stand. they are probably fine if you are doing some light gigging or using them at home but don't be suprised when the plastic ball falls apart on you on the first try, hehe. I will likely try another brand next time. Peace.

Every time I need something in a hurry here in Japan, I use Musician's Friend. Most often, I receive my shipment within the week. Thank you for supporting those in the military and those who work overseas for the military! I am a lifelong loyal customer! Thanks for all that you do!

Footprint is too big but the boom part can be put on to another base. Color is excellent to keep from detracting from the look of stage - they match speakers, etc. Good for the price. Shipping was quick and without damage.

Affordable mic stand with pretty descent quality. The key to using these is to be gentle! Don't over tighten, take the time to break them down properly after usage. For the price, they're excellent.
My last couple stands (same brand) lasted several years.

I ordered these for my brother. We thought that since the stands would not be moved from gig to gig they'd be ok. Plastic parts broke as I was setting up the stands for him. Very lightweight. I'd not order these again.

I've had a couple of these stands for several years and they've served well. Needed a couple more and I bought an off-brand for a few dollars less. They were disappointing; had clamps that were hard to tighten enough to stay put and screw-on parts that were crooked. So I've ended up buying two more On Stage stands and they do the job.
The usual features on a basic boom stand.
Everything works without having to use extreme effort.
I think that the On Stage mic stand defines the value. Others are compared to it.

I don't think Musician's Friend shows the On-Stage model number for researching, but yes, what was delivered to me were two MS7701B "Euro Boom" stands. Popular, good quality, and a good price from our "Friends"...

So far I definitely love the stands. they seem very sturdy, and they do the job well.
Comments about On-Stage Stands Tripod Mic Stand With Boom Buy One Get One Free:
The threads strip quite easily on the big nut thingy that tightens the boom shaft onto the base shaft. I ordered 4 of these and all four were stripped before they even tried to get tight and it wasn't me overtightening them. I bought 5 of these On Stage Combo packs a couple years ago and all 10 of those stands are still going strong but these new versions are not nearly as well built or sturdy. Aside from stripping out, they just feel cheap overall unlike the previous version. What a shame.

I ordered the "Musician's Gear Tripod Mic Stand with Fixed Boom (2-Pack)" and got these instead. WOW Great deal, although I was looking foward to trying out some Musician's Gear items. I have had On Stage Mic Stands, light stands, guitar stands before and they are great for the price...They should last if they don't get mistreated or stolen at shows! Thanks MF for another sweet deal!
