Okay, first of all, this desk was easy to assemble. Not a single problem there. Secondly, the desk more than met my expectations; it is sturdy (weighing in at over 70 lbs. it should be sturdy--and it is), it brings my gear together in a reachable and ergonomic solution plus there's room to expand. Thirdly, it takes up very little space in my room. Finally, the price was right! I looked on YouTube and saw some guy putting the desk together; from ordering, to shipping, to delivery it was a breeze! Thanks Musician's Friend

The surface has about a half dozen large scratches on it, the front facing edge has a 2" area where the wood isn't flat (wood looks damaged then the laminate was put on top of it), & there's a mark about the size of a peanut right on top where the laminate is ripped. This is the 2nd one we purchased, sent the first one back due to damage & poor construction. Bought another only because it came down in price.

Awesome Studio Desk

Comments about On-Stage Stands Workstation:

10 out of 10
I give this Desk a 10 out of 10 it's a small workstation but holds dual screens, my MPK61 fits perfect and still has about 4 inches on each side and it is a very sturdy desk installation was simple couldn't be any easier unless it snapped together like a lego all the screws were there, even came with all tools required to put it together.

Nice Workstation, but...

Comments about On-Stage Stands Workstation:

Received this product in protective shipping material...one screw was missing from the pull out keyboard tray rail system...luckily I found the screw within the shipping materials. One Z shaped leg was missing the metal tab to mount the wood work surface, but this did not seem to be a problem, as the weight of the work surface kept the unit solid. Z shaped legs are a bit skewed and don't align with the wood perfectly, but overall assembly was do-able. Just an average product that I will find useful. Nice but slightly flawed.

      Needs to be recalled

      Comments about On-Stage Stands Workstation:

Wasted 2 hours of my life putting this piece of junk together. The only thing that worked out well was taking it out of the box. Had to use some of my own screws because theirs were filled with metal shavings. Holes did not align for the desktops. Finally when I got it all together, found that it is not sturdy at all. It wobbles back and forth like a weeble-wobble. I just can't believe that this product passed quality control. Don't buy it, I'm sending this piece of junk back.

            Comments about On-Stage Stands Workstation:

I bought this desk to use for my work from home desk and recording workstation. The desk unit itself is functional. The workmanship is poor. The thin veneer or shelf lining applied to the particleboard tops are applied uneven and lots of bubbles. I just picked the best side and used that as my top surface. I was missing one of the end rubber plugs of the metal base. The slide out draw slides is cheap and I wouldn't count on it lasting that long if over used. It assembles pretty easy. It is sturdy. The mental frame is good and should last forever. Over all, you get what you pay for so be aware. I assumed the quality of the item when I bought it so I was not too surprised. So my advise is beware you might not get what you are expecting.

            Comments about On-Stage Stands Workstation:

This was perhaps the worst piece of do-it-yourself furniture I've ever had to deal with. I've been buying and assembling furniture for decades. It's not worth the money or the effort. Don't buy it. MF should be ashamed of themselves for selling it.

The attachments were shoddy the screws and fittings were very poor quality. The surface is covered with the cheapest sort of contact paper that is marred and scratched just from un packing and putting the thing together. The particle board is of the worst kind and twice as heavy as it should be. The sliding drawer assembly is unbelievably bad. I had to leave it off.

I shudder to think what the normal heat, that is generated by any type of analog studio equipment, would do it.

The desk is sturdy, that is without a doubt. It is difficult to assemble without a second person. The individual pieces are labeled differently than in the provided instructions, so some basic understanding of construction is required to assemble. The hardware (screws, etc) provided did not match the hardware shown in the instructions. The hardware for my order actually was not included in the original package; I had to contact Musicians Friend customer service and have it delivered separately, over two weeks later.

The top surface of the main table has factory damage. This top should not have been sent to a customer. The nuts welded in the frame for the feet are not straight causing the leveling feet to be useless. It will function but should not have been sold at full price, it should have been a "second" with defects noted.

                      Comments about On-Stage Stands Workstation:

I was disappointed with the quality of this desk. I chose this model primarily based on the price and size. The desk is usable and does look good in its space, however, the slide out keyboard tray is in need of modifying. The slides (hardware) are pre-mounted and fell apart when sliding the tray on for the first time. I'll need to replace them with some better quality hardware at a later date. The assembly instructions were not clear and parts that were supposedly marked as Left and Right were not marked at all. One part was drilled, but missing necessary hardware to complete the assembly.

The paper veneer is bubbled in some areas, luckily, its in places hidden out of site. From the drill marks, it seems like the particle board core was veneered after the boards were drilled for assembly holes. This made it difficult to push the bolts through the pre-drilled holes without tearing the veneer around the hole.

Once assembled, the desk is very stable. I'm using this in a home studio and it serves its purpose. For me personally, it will work, but I certainly wouldn't recommend it for anything other than private home use.

It arrived in good condition and I found the assembly to be reasonably simple. The directions could have been more detailed but I had no problems with assembly. The surfaces are vinyl over particle board but it is functional.

This thing is crazy difficult to assemble. The holes are drilled out of alignment, so if you buy one of these make sure you have a drill available. Surfaces are too high for any computer application. I modified it like crazy to make it work, but it took a tremendous amount of time. Some surfaces arrived scratched due to inadequate packaging. I absolutely would not buy this again.

Sturdy, looks great, but hard to put together. Well worth what I paid!

Came with incomplete parts and some scratches on the desk surface. I was unable to screw the sliding keyboard tray together. So I kept the desk but just don't have the pull-out keyboard tray. For one hundred it's whatever. But that doesn't change the fact that this company is selling something they don't actually provide.

The pre-drilled holes did not line up; screws & nuts were hard to align; the ball bearing in the keyboard tray rolled right out of the keyboard assembly. We boxed it up & took it right back to the store.
