I have heard that 2 legged stands are wobbly on carpet floors---I have mine on padded carpet with an area rug on top of that, and it doesn't move at all---my zildjian hats weigh over 5 pounds! Not only does it function perfectly, it looks great too!!!! I have a pdp snare stand, cymbal stands, and throne, and a 502 double kick pedal is coming next. I don't see how you could go wrong with this stand. I highly recommend this for any skill level, and the bang for the buck factor makes it hard to beat!!!

Bought this to use with the X7 double bass kit I use for practice and annoying the neighbors. It's where I experiment and let myself go. The kit sits on thick carpeting, and there's the problem. On a solid floor the PDP 820 works fine. But on my carpet it does more than just wobble, it freaks out. Total instability makes it impossible to concentrate on the drumming. The fact that my A Custom Rezo hats make the tube drop 2" doesn't help either.I'm going back to my Gibraltar stand for this kit & adding the PDP stand to an old Sonor Force kit I keep for my grandkids. They'll love its little "dance." All in all, I find everything about it unacceptable. A definite Don't Buy.

      Comments about PDP HH820 2-Leg Hi-Hat Stand:

don't know why people complain about its stability... my kit stands on a carpet and this thing is as solid as lamp post. it comes with a velcro on the bottom so it sticks really well to the carpet floor and as usal ir has two spikes to get some extra grip. finally i found out that you can adjust the tension of the pedal. this stand is perfect! cheers

This hi hat stand is awesome. It only took 5 min to set it up and then I was ready to go. I own a fxr pacific 5 piece drum kit so the logo one the foot board matches great. Remember this stand is great for any kit not just a pacific. Awesome.

Decent Stand For What I Paid

      Comments about PDP HH820 2-Leg Hi-Hat Stand:

MF sold this stand to me for $49.99 because they mistakenly sold me a 3-legged Pearl stand that they said was a 2-legged stand before I bought it. This stand does wobble on carpet but I was able to stabilize it using a counterbalance by adding a splash cymbal on a clamp with arm. Also, the bottom of the pedal has velcro so it sticks to the carpet for added stability. I needed a 2-legged stand for my double bass set up so that I could position my hi-hat closer to me. The quality is as good as the Pearl hi-hat stand I replaced. This is worth the money if you're looking for a 2-legged stand.

      Unstable

      Comments about PDP HH820 2-Leg Hi-Hat Stand:

At first the legs werent able to fully extend down making it a little unstable, expecialy on carpet. Then if your constantly opening and closing the stand, it starts to rock back and forwards. The mount that holds the top hi-hat keeps making dents in the rod. I'd say get something else that dosnt make dents. Its good but you should get something sturdier

      Comments about PDP HH820 2-Leg Hi-Hat Stand:

I needed an inexpensive alternative for double bass work - this 2 leg hihat works flawlessly with all the features of a much more expensive stand for a lot less money. I wouldn't hesitate to buy more Pacific equipment. After all, it's basically the same quality as DW without the bloated price tag.

Ive been looking at this stand for a while now and am so glad I bought it. the only reason it didn't get 5 stars in everything is because it wobbles a little bit on carpet with padding under it, but not to much to were it is a big problem. other than that this thing is absolutely amazing.

      QUALITY STAND

      By Will. R

      Comments about PDP HH820 2-Leg Hi-Hat Stand:

I have owned the Pacific HH820 2-leg hi-hat, for 2 yrs now. It has stood strong through pounding shows, hours of recording and some down right beatings. The 2 leg feature has allowed me to place the stand as close to my slave pedal as possable..very convenient. I would recomend this product to any style of drumming. But it would stand with no problem in any metal/aggressive situation.

Ive had this hi-hat stand for about a while now and this thing is amazing. The adjuster on the front for tension is a little strange to use but you set it once and never fool with it again.Recommend getting this stand.

      Comments about PDP HH820 2-Leg Hi-Hat Stand:

Pdp's 2 leg hi-hat stand is a great buy for the price. As soon as I got it it has done nothing but accomplish what I needed it for. It allows for my slave pedal to be positioned perfectly right next to it. It also could hold an effect cymbal ( such as china or something else ) with a clamp & arm quite well. This stand is sturdy, and is a great buy for what you're paying. Sure you could spend a lot more on something a little better...but why? This stand gets it done.

This stand works great with my PDP402 double bass pedal. Switched to the two leg stand for that reason. The PDP hardware is great quality at a great price. I have some PDP cymbal stands as well and am very satisfied with the quality and price. Being made by Drum Workshop I would not hesitate to by any PDP products.

Bought this Hi Hat about 2 years ago and I've had no problems with it at all. The two legs can be positioned virtualy anywhere which is perfect for my other bass pedal. This stand really gets rid of the clutter around your feet.

I had one of these stands last yr & was so disgusted with it I gave it away & went out and bought the 900hh 2 legged model, it costed me a little more than this one but well worth it & can honestly say say the people in manufacturing these did a great job making these stands!

Bottom line is buy the 900 model for a little more & save yourself some grief !

I like this Hi-hat stand for the fact that I have a double bass pedal and it doesn't get in the way. I can pretty much move the legs anywhere and it won't fall. The stand is sturdy and the action is smooth. Great stuff.

      Comments about PDP HH820 2-Leg Hi-Hat Stand:

This stand is great, strong and sturdy. It has virtually no wobble when used on a very solid surface... BUT... when used on carpet it wobbles like crazy! So unless you're always going to play on a very solid surface, do not get this stand. Other than that the stand is great.
