Awesome stand. Incredibly sturdy. My bassist backed into it and he fell over; the stand didn't budge. Rotating legs make it great for compact spaces. Could maybe be retractable in some way...? Maybe I just haven't figured out how yet.Grab one of these DW-quality, affordable stands now, for the next gig with gale-force winds you play. ;)
This is one of the best high-hats ive ever played. The retractable legs are great for storage and transportation. The stand is incredibly durable and does not bundge. This is a great buy!
Perfect, The stand was a little tight when i first put it together (easy assembly though). When you press the pedal it feel like it was rubbing just a little.. So i put some oil on the hi hat rod, and it fixed it, i dont beleive it would of hurt, i didnt have HH's on when i noticed it but i wanted it to be top shape since i just bought it.. well all i have to say is its a good stand. heavy, sturdy.. Being able to swivle the foot pedal to accomadate for my double bass pedel helps alot..
Strong HArdware/very good tension adjustability. Very Stable, well built.
I bought this stand a year or so ago it's a really heavy duty durable stand. I've tried out the Iron Cobra stand and if you blind folded me and told me to play using both I wouldn't be able to tell the difference. This is an amazing stand that won't disappoint you. It only has 1 problem when I play pretty heavy duty or do a lot of chokes (which I do a lot) the stand has a tendency to un-tighten and close the high hats on me. It happens somewhat rarely but can get annoying.
I've owned 2 other hi-hats, and neither are better than this. The tensioner is a great idea. I always had problems with my hi-hats feeling too loose, so with this I can set the tension for however I'm comfortable with. This thing is very sturdy and will take a beating. The only thing I saw that was negative is the center brace. I've never had any problems with it, but it looks a little too easily breakable. Other than that, this is a great stand and I'd recommend it over the HH700.
