A different breed of pedal.
Featuring the B.O.A. Bow Action Pedal System, a patented technology that's the result of years of intense research and development. The design embraces feel, quickness, and power, and defies traditional pedal theory.
So, what is B.O.A. technology? B.O.A. stands for Bow Oriented Action and there are no springs or hinges, because they're simply not needed. The footboard itself is made from a unique composite material called Flex-Tech, taking the place of both the spring and hinge all in one. The result is a pedal with fewer moving parts, more direct response, and completely silent action.
You might say the B.O.A. is flexible in more ways than one. In addition to its groundbreaking flexible footboard, the B.O.A. is fully adjustable. Using a combination of settings at the cam and Bow Action retaining plate, the B.O.A. can be tweaked in almost limitless ways. Whether you desire longer throw, additional torque, or varied rebound, all can be easily accomplished using a standard drum key or hex wrench. The B.O.A.'s toe clamp mechanism slides back and forth to compensate for varying bass drum hoop depths.
Combine all of these advances with a precise direct drive cam, a frictionless bearing-buffered axle, and HardCore beater, and it's certain B.O.A. technology will change the way you think about pedals.

if anyone is worried about the longevity of the pedal, don't....there are going to be a small percentage of every different pedal that break or fail....mine has been gigged hard for over 2 years and it's still as responsive and quick as the day i bought it...also, there's a ridiculous amount of adjustments you can make...beater is pretty cool as well
Great design, great response, great look(if Batman were to play the drums this would be what he would use because it looks really cool.) Anywhos this pedal is very nice, fast-n-smooth, and it took me a long time to find the right settings for it...but to me thats a good thing. My problem is that the cam shaft is busted and the board itself cracked in three different spots. Not a good pedal for the fast-n-hard players, but I could be wrong and bought a one in a million crapy pedal. I was offered to get my money back or a new one and I told them I dont trust this pedal so I got my money back. It broke in five days. To me, your only paying for the design.
I've tried this at my local music store, and I have to say that it beats my Iron Cobras in smoothness. I'm not sure how long the footboards would last, but it seems like a very well made pedal.
3 words. Best pedal ever. this pedal is so cool theres no more springs or hinges it very fast and extremely responsive. I think its better than the iron cobra or and pearl pedal. BUY IT!!!
I am completely floored by this pedal. It is such a natural extention of the foot and feels better than any I've tried. I've been looking for a direct drive pedal to match my Flying Dragon for my new DB set up and on a whim picked one of these up. I've used Speed kings, Pearl Powershifters, The F.D., a Tama, and a few others...this pedal blew me away. The beater is also great. Terrific product.
