My Amended Review

Features:

Lockable cams that can be adjusted. So my initial review is amended because I complained about the stand sagging and not holding up my SM-58. Once you adjust the cams by turning them to the right to the desired tightness, they would hold up a military tank.

Quality:

Well-constructed and sturdy

Value:

Great value at the stupid deal price of several months ago. I would never pay the retail price. Probably an okay value at that price, but no more.

Overall:

I would recommend the stand. I like mine and have about 6 of them. Easy to adjust and use.

Overall:

i think these stands are awesome.  I've seen some reviews that complain about them not holding up mics....adjust it so it's tighter!  They're very very simple to use and hold up well too.  i bought another one after i bought my first 2 just because i like them and the price was outstanding at the price

Decent as a stationary mic stand......Not as a vocal mic stand.

This mic stand "could" have been a great product and value. It has all of the basic features and components as any other boom stand. The problem is that while most of the stand is constructed with decent grade metal tubing, the piece that connects the boom to the lower part is made of some sort of plyable plastic. When the stand is moved or even bump, the top, including the mic, sways back and forth like a flag-pole in the wind. Given the added weight of the mic, there is an unacceptable amount of movement. I am primarily a singer in a duo, so I had used this mic stand a few times, until I almost literally chipped a tooth. It would be fine to mic an instrument, I suppose. I'm not necessarily saying to go pay $80 for an Atlas stand, but why on earth would a company build a pretty decent product, then totally ruin it by skimping on one of the most important parts? It makes no sense to me. I would not recommend this product....not even for the $17.00 that I paid for it as a previous "Stupid Deal" of the day. Thanks for reading.

Like the title says, my band uses these stands more often than other stands. I like them because they get the job done. They also adjust & set up quickly and easily. Great to pack in and pack out fast! However with anything they will only last as long as you treat them well. If you take care of your equipment it will take care of you!

At first I was pretty hesitant about buying these guys based on all the feedback left by other buyers, but when i saw them for cheap as part of the Stupid Deal of the Day, I went ahead and bought 6 of them because the price was too good to pass up.  I can honestly say that these stands are good, decent stands, and im happy I put my money behind them.  Based on some previous reviews i can see the possibility of these stands breaking if you where to get someone who didn't care about their equipment all that much or if they are the kind of person that manhandles all of their gear and was really rough on it.  Yet, if you were using them for a church, studio and/or home studio, practice space, etc; these stands work great!  Also a previous reviewer said that the stands did not hold heavy mic's without drooping or moving out of place.  I can totally get behind their experience, since i ordered 6 of these stands i had 2 or 3 of them where the clamps to hold the arms tight were loose.  However, if you simply pop off the little plastic end caps, behind these caps are Allen-head bolts, and you can simply tighten down the Allen-head bolt a little and the clamps get tighter and will hold a heavy mic no problem.  I imagine that these Allen-headed bolts do shake loose during shipping, or just simply are not tightened down all that hard at the factory.  All in all, a great mic stand for the money, i would recommend it to anyone.
