I really like these stands! I got 3 of them with a pearl export kit I bought a while back. they hold up very well. Never have I had one tip on me. They are also easier to work with than other brands like Yamaha because you don't have two screws to mess with at the boom. The only things that could make these stands better would be uni lock and gyro lock. other than that these stands are amazing!
I have two of these bad boys and they both are phenomenal stands. I beat the living crap of my cymbals and these things barely move at all. The only problem I have encountered with this stand is that the adjusters on the bottom got stripped and i wasnt able to keep the stand in position because it would move every time I would hit it. That is the only complaint I have. Overall, this is an awesome piece of hardware and I would highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a good, sturdy stand at a reasonable price.
I bought this a long time ago and have had it for almost a year. It is a very good stand. I would recommend it over the Pearl B800W Stand. It's convertible which give you a lot of set up option with your drum set and it cheaper. It is very sturdy and I haven't had any problems with it at all.
I recently purchased this stand, and I have a 20" ride on it, and it is holding up very well. The only complaint I have is the price, but it is worth it.
I recently purchased the Pearl BC800W stand, along with a 24' heavy ride. I have been using the stand boom style, and it has yet to tip with a very heavy cymbal on it. GREAT STAND!!! Lower the price, and it will be even better.
This is one nifty stand for the price. It converts from a straight stand to a boom stand very readily. This saves space when breaking down your hardware. With three sections and a fairly long boom, you can easily set this thing at whatever angle and height you need. It's built fairly tough, double braced and pretty meaty. I've been using this stand for around 4 or 5 years now and it has yet to let me down in any way. I'd say the only downside to it is that it doesn't include memory locks for quick setup but hey, that's what sharpies are for. Overall it's a great stand, especially for the price. You won't be dissapointed. =)
This is the best stand i have on my kit. It is very sturdy and dosn't woble even with a 14" tom, and a 7" rock cowbell on it. The only thing that was bad is that a set screw loosened under the gear tilter but I have three things on it to hit and the cymbal is a crash/Ride so its kind of expected. I just wish i had enogh money to replace all of my other stands with these. So if you got the money I'd go with these.
This stand can be used for many things. For a while I was using it for a crash cymbal. Just recently I took the boom arm, stuck it into the tom hold in my base drum, and mounted a ride on it. I used the straight part of the stand to hold a tom. The feet keep the stand where you place it no matter how hard you play. The stand itself feels very sturdy and heavy-duty. Yeah, there's cheaper stands out there, but you just can't go wrong with this one.
I have just received this stand today and thought it wasn't going to be a good stand. Boy was I wrong. This stand is one of the best stands I have ever used. This stand blows my pacific 800's away. The only thing that is wrong with it is that it doesn't have a lot of strength in the upper portion but oh well. I loved it so much that I went out and bought two more.
You can't knock this thing over, solid as a rock, a very nice stand.
