Not worth it

Comments about Pearl BD10 Bass Drum Practice Pad:

This thing IS sturdy, but that's about it. The pad is not like any bass drum I've ever played on and it's LOUD! The part you mount the pedal to is too close in, so unless you play your actual kick drum with the angle all the way forward (front end on the ground) then you won't get a realistic practice. For this price I expected a lot more. I ripped the pad off and put on the gel pads that come with computer mouses, works better; but you shouldn't have to do that after spending that kind of money....

Comments about Pearl BD10 Bass Drum Practice Pad:

I wouldn't recommend this pad. I bought two, one for each single pedal. I play two kicks and do not own a double pedal anymore. These pads slide around easily and they're VERY loud. When I play them they also have a strange overtone from the metal. Summary: Check out DW's practice pads. They have pads that attach to a cymbal stand and they feel very good to play! A little more expensive but worth the money and great to warm up before a gig.

This is a very solid peice of practice equipment. Extremely useful for working on any kick drum style. Whether it's new or just to keep up on current skills when you can't get to a set.

    Pearl bass drum practice pad

Comments about Pearl BD10 Bass Drum Practice Pad:

The Pearl practice pad is an excellent product. It has very realistic feel, exceptional quality, and is perfect for travel. The reason I did not give it a perfect 10 is because it is very loud. The reason for a practice pad is so you can practice quietly. The pearl pad fails in this area. But it is still well worth the money.
